I absolutely adore this place! The servers are always so sweet to me and always ask if I need anything. My favorite appetizer is the«Tofu Tikki» and my favorite masala is the mixed vegetable masala! They have great food all around and I love going here over any other Himalayan restaurant. 5 stars for sure!!!

Best Indian food I’ve had in this county. Service was personal and genuinely polite. Will always be a regular here. Chicken tiki masala is perfect.

If they stepped up their consistency this would be a 5 star review! Everything is always at least really good, but I’ve noticed that when I go for dinner my dish is spicier(I usually get the Lamb Korma @ medium spicy). That being said, I only noticed this because I liked my food so much at lunch I came back for dinner! Most(all?) entrees come with soup and salad, so it’s a really good deal.

This place is solid, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavors of the food served. For Sonoma County — and especially a small town like Healdsburg — this is a pretty good spot for Indian food. I’m definitely going back.

The lunch portions are perfect! The last time I came here I ended up getting one of the special, which was chicken and spinach(medium hot), and it came with a side of brown rice and a salad that had fruit in it(which was tasty) and of course some naan. The main entrée was super flavorful, and I loved the amount of heat along side it. I’ve also gotten the lamb vindaloo, which again was large chucks of lamb in a thick spicy gravy. So far I haven’t been disappointed. The nice thing about this place is that I am usually in and out of there in less than an hour during lunch, which is a huge plus for me, and the patio is always great to sit out on.

My date grew up eating lots of lamb and really loves it. So she ordered the lamb tandoori. But unfortunately it was overcooked, dry and so tough she couldn’t eat it. I guess her dog got the benefit of that. I had the salmon kabob which was rather dry and overcooked, but not bad. I took it home and put it in a salad with lots of dressing. We ordered the garlic cheese pizza crust naan bread. Didn’t see or taste any cheese on it. We wanted to find a local restaurant that we liked, but I guess we won’t be back.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! Even though we got our food to go, the service was excellent. The food was also very good and I will be returning soon! Vegan/gluten free friendly.

Such a quaint little café, charming atmosphere, genuine service and authentic food. Today we had the pumpkin curry with chicken and cauliflower. It is savory and as spicy as you want or don’t want. Very filling and very delicious!

The best home made food you can find in a restaurant. Their Dal/Chawal and their Biryani was really delicious and the Momos were awesome. The owner is very humble and friendly.

Just call it what it is! Keep it simple. The hotel staff who checked us in suggested Himalayan after we inquired about veggie-friendly restaurants for dinner. Thank you, California! After our too-extended(oops!) afternoon nap after a red-eye flight, we got up and trekked on over to Himalayan. On a side note — there is another Himalayan/Nepalese restaurant in Honolulu called… Himalayan KITCHEN. :op I was so excited to read the clearly marked vegan items on the menu. No longer vegan, but lacto-ovo-vegetarian, I still appreciate the easy labeling. We selected the tofu tikki as our appetizer — neat and delicious idea to combine tofu and chickpeas and fry the combination! We also ordered the vegetable korma, one of my husband’s favorite dishes in any restaurant — can’t go wrong with coconut milk. We also tried a different dish of okra lightly fried with mango powder and some other tasty things(for some reason I was secretly hoping for Southern-fried okra — that would be too funny). The starting dal was delicious! Wonderful gustatory experience! We had leftovers but could not finish them since we made just a quick trip to Northern California. :o(Yay for Himalayan!

My family & I were celebrating my youngest sons birthday There were 8 of us, & they reserved a very nice table for us. First, the ppl who wait on you are so friendly, helpful, & always checking to see what you may need. That in itself was such a delightful experience. Then there was the food! Everything was so delicious. We especially love the Naan bread, garlic, cilantro. The lentil soup, tandoori chicken, chicken masala, Lamb kabobs, & a few other dishes including appetizers were just delicious. And the sauces they give you to dip everything into were fantastic. They have a very nice outdoors too, were you can sit. But, it was too hot that day to sit outdoors. Overall you can’t go wrong eating here, just delightful.

Quick lunch trip, first off the staff was excellent, very caring/patient and answered any questions we had. Got some Chicken Tikka Masala, it was about average, maybe a little above average. The thing that really shined was the garlic cinnamon naan, it was absolutely superb! Decent prices, would definitely come back again.

The staff is very friendly and humble. The food is very delicious and don’t forget the naan bread. I love to support my local business especially when they do a great job, so I decided back in December to have my birthday party catered by The Himalayan Restaurant. The experience was great and my guests loved the cuisine. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Time for an update, Himalayan is a favorite of ours. About 6 months ago Himalayan changed hands and new owners appeared. As we have always enjoyed the food here we were kinda bummed. Have no fear, after several visits the past few months Himalayan is still putting out the same quality favorites like Chicken Tikka, Samosa Chaat, Tandoori etc and has also added some additional specials that were not previously offered. Restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable. Not your average hole in the wall. A small but nice patio is available and is a good option on a warm evening. Wish the new owners well!

The food is very good. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The service is friendly and warm. The customers all seem very happy to be there. I thought the food was very flavorful. Their naan bread was superb. Even the food seemed clean and healthy without all the added grease and oils. I really enjoyed my meal and I can see why this place is rated highly. They surely deserve it! I recommend stopping here to eat.

Awesome restaurant close to the Vineman full triathlon finish. Being a vegan, I though that it would be very difficult to find decent food in Windsor. Himalayan restaurant is a definite keeper though. I am not expert at Tibetan food, but the food they serve tasted and looked like a very good Indian. Food felt fresh, nicely seasoned and above all tasted amazing.

If you love Tibetan /Himalayan cuisine, you will enjoy this place. The chef has great skill with spices, the ingredients are wholesome, the preparation is competent, portion sizes are generous and the food pleasure factor is high. My lovely spouse who normally does not enjoy Indian /Pakistani /Afgani cuisine really likes the food here. Dining room ambience is causal. Servers are happily pleasant. I ate 4 different dishes. All had distinctive flavors, there was no muddle. Lowest item on my score sheet was the plain naan. It was a little leathery, but the garlic naan was damn near perfect(probably was made from a different dough batch). Prices are quite reasonable, even for cheapskates like me. The lamb keema matar combo lunch(4 items) costs a whopping $ 10.99. If it’s a cold, wet winter day and you need some warming, belly filling carbohydrates this place is an excellent choice.
