I shop at geisslers because a) its location is convenient for me and 2) the staff is more experienced and knowledgable. I see the same folk working the aisles over time, they have answers to any questions I might have and are unfailingly pleasant. Their specials are regular and significantly well priced. It ain’t the biggest store in the county but they also don’t use those darn ‘track you’ tags like the big stores do. I am not comfortable with grocery stores getting a profile of what I’m buying on an individual basis. I mean, what do they expect to use that information for? Who does shop and save send my data to? Is Dick Cheney examining my peanut butter choices for al Qaida tendencies, or what? Am I right?

Convient location for me. Great employees and customer service. Their deli needs to seriously step it’s game. Maybe I’m just used to Italian delis that have all sorts of roasted peppers, eggplant and cutlets available, this place offers everything made with mayonnaise… and mayonnaise. Oh, and some gross looking jello«ambrosia» ewwww Besides that, I come often.

This store is on my way home from work so I shop here frequently. I like the meat department most of the time. You have to watch the dates on packages because you will frequently find expired products. Produce is not worth the asking price unless there are specials.

I like this Geisslers and shop here about 70% of the time. The rest I get at Sam’s. Many times Sam’s quantities are too large though. We end up throwing stuff out. Geisslers vegies seem to be very fresh and we eat a lot of lettuce and other fresh vegies. They do have a decent sized organic section. Also a pretty good supply of things like cilantro, garlic etc. I can usually find anything I need for a recipe there. The deli is fairly large and they do fresh baking there too. I would say overall their prices are fairly competitive. Not as cheap as Pricerite but Geisslers has a better selection. Probably about the same as Stop and Shop. One thing Geissles needs is a better selection of low salt items. Stop and Shop does beat them on this count. So when I go to Stop and Shop I will stock up on certain low sodium items that I know I can’t get at Geisslers. Geisslers beer prices are about the same as the liquor store in the center of town. Overall I would say this Geissler’s is well managed and smoothly run. The shelves are always full and neatly organized. Many items are available in their cheaper house brand which I frequently will buy to save a few bucks.

Meh… there aren’t many(any) great grocery stores in the area. All the departments here are pretty small. The selection is nothing special either. Prices aren’t super high, but they’re not exactly low prices. No bank, no pharmacy. Tiny bottle return. Both Price Chopper and Stop & Shop are better in terms of variety, though you’ll find some stuff here you won’t find at Price Chopper. Convenience and small town vibe keep this place afloat. This is the kind of grocery store where you could buy a sweatshirt with the name of the town it’s in on it.
