I played here for the first time, Memorial Day weekend. It was rainy and cold, so I’m taking that into account.
At $ 35 weekend rate (18 with a cart), this is by far the best deal I’ve found around Effingham.
The Bermuda grass fairways were excellent, minus a few wet spots from the rain. The greens were smooth and rolled true. The course layout can definitely be a tough one, but with several tee boxes to choose from, it can fit anyone’s game.
The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because of the clubhouse. It’s not much, but its acceptable. They have a driving range and full kitchen for lunch.
We will definitely be playing Angus when we come in town from now on.
