Things Remembered

I decided to get a personalized gift for a friend. I received one not to long ago from Things Remembered and decided to go and see what they had. It didn’t hurt that l was sent a catalogue with a coupon for $ 15 off of an order $ 50 or more or $ 30 off of an order $ 100 or more.
I went to the location at Security Square Mall. When l entered, there were two other customers there, but the store had boxes of items stacked high that an associate later told me we orders to be shipped! Oh my! I went in knowing exactly what l would purchase from the catalog, only to find out they were having a buy one get one 50% off sale. I had to regroup. I eventually went with three items, but there was this 4-​in-​1 flashlight, phone charger, alarm and radio that was listed at $ 7.99, but with that being my other bogo 50% item it would only cost $ 4 so l got that. Now here comes the trick… the engraving. The cost was $ 8 for the first word and $ 3 for each additional word per item. So my total cost for engraving was $ 40! Well, ll made out because with the bogo 50% (l got a silver pen engraved-​reg $ 35; a leather business card wallet holder engraved– reg. $ 25; a pebble grained velvet lined 10 capacity wristwatch box engraved –reg. $ 70 and the 4-​in-​1 flashlight thingamajig –reg. $ 7.99) in addition to my $ 30 off of $ 100 or more coupon my total (including taxes) came to $ 114! They offered same day engraving and pickup, which l took full advantage of. I paid for it (and also purchased for $ 10 a rewards card that sends you a $ 10 coupon and one for your birthday and other coupon and sales offerings– included in the $ 114 price l paid).
I came back to pickup my order later that day and as promised, the items were ready for my inspection. All of the items were good with the exception of the pen. One of the letters was half engraved, and l let the associate know. There was not a bit of hassle. She quickly got another pen and proceeded to do the engraving again. Well it still didnt come out right and she got yet ANOTHER pen and with consultation from the other associate on duty, took the font size down a tad and voila! the engraving was done and perfect. All of this was done in less than 10 minutes! I am so impressed by this Things Remembered staff!
Whenever l need to purchase a personalized gift, this will be my one stop shop for sure!
