Chen’s Szechuan Express

Definitely my favorite Chinese food restaurant in the Baltimore area. I usually get Singapore Noodles but have ventured out a few other times… Never disappointed. They should definitely deliver or utilize one of the new internet delivery companies.
Cool thing… they let you get as many packets of condiments as you’d like.

Chens is my go to place for Chinese food. I am a creature of habit. I love the curry chicken. I add broccoli and mushrooms. Always consistent. All of the schezhuan dishes are good. Shrimp toast is crisp and fresh. Service is beyond quick. Prices are no issue.

Been coming here for years and the good is always consistent. Good flavorful food. The Singapore noodles are really good. At times they can be a bit heavy handed w the salt but not always. I took a star away because they need to deliver. It sucks to not have that service. Also they put all the sauces outdo u don’t have to beg for an extra duck sauce like most places.

Used to be my favorite place until last Friday. I ordered shrimp and broccoli and while I waited I heard one of the cooks sneeze and he did not wash his hands. I asked for my money back told them it’s disgusting to sneeze while cooking someone’s food and not properly sanitizing your hands… of course they thought It was funny so I took my money to golden dragon on liberty road!

I dabble between this place and China Hall which is just a few blocks away. Chen’s let’s you select your own sauces at the front of the store instead of just giving you one per order like China Hall does. The service also does seem to be better and more personal at Chen’s. My sister who recommended this location says their prices are a bit higher than China Hall but I hadn’t noticed. I did however try the Singapore Noodles since a previous reviewer said they were good. Generally I’m not a fan of curry (can’t stand the smell) I risked choosing the Singapore Noodles even after finding out the recipe called for curry powder. They were awesome! I will DEFINITELY order these noodles next time and I will DEFINITELY be back to Chen’s.

By far, the best Singapore Noodles in the area. Hands down. No place else even comes remotely close.
We randomly came across this restaurant as we were looking for parking at the Panera in the same shopping center. Our weekday lunches haven’t been the same since. The people here are very friendly — after a couple instances of placing a take out order of Singapore Noodle and steamed dumplings, they already recognized me and brought my order out as soon as I walked in the door. Speaking of picking up your order, it never takes more than 15 mins before its ready and this seemingly hole in the wall restaurant is very clean and well-​kept inside.
Go place an order (of Singapore Noodle!) here now; you won’t be disappointed.
