This is a nice library. I have 2 little kids and I wish that there were more kids there, kids activities, maybe a bit more than train table and bead moving thing. However for my own benefit, I LOVETHENEWTITLESBEINGRIGHT in FRONT! When I walk in, they are available complete with months they were put out!

I’m not sure if this is what your«typical» small town library looks like, but I was highly disappointed by it. I wandered in on a rainy weekend, intent on taking out some books with very specific subject matter. I was looking for books on writing, books on past life repression, and The Secret. What I found was a large children’s library and then multiple shelves of movies, cds, books-on-tape, and magazines. The remaining shelves that actually held books were lacking. Sure, they had your basic history and geography books… encyclopedias, some biographies… but absolutely nothing on the subjects that I desired. I was trying to save myself some money by finding some titles I had seen at Barnes and Noble and renting them instead. No such luck. I was however able to rent five movies a week for free, so it wasn’t all bad. Until my dvd player stopped working, that is. But that has nothing to do with the library.
