This place is falling apart. My friends and I wanted to give this place a shot because everyone went skiing and well let’s just say that isn’t our forte. We came here to go tubing and ice skating to find that for tubing it’s a little hill, that you literally end up walking the rest of the way. When we saw this we knew we didn’t want to spend the $ 20 for the two hours. We also found a melted skating rink. To even add to the awkward atmosphere of this place, the radio doesn’t work and sounds like a song that keeps skipping every 2 seconds. I would not recommend this part of the mountain at all.

This was a very disappointing and upsetting experience for me. The Adventure Park consists of a short zip line, a go-kart track(with only 1 functioning go-kart), Euro-Bungy(basically jumping on a trampoline tethered to 2 bungy cords to help give you more lift), and a «Big Air Bag» where you jump off a platform onto a super-huge inflated canvas bag shaped like a pillow. I went w/my three kids(ages 5, 7, 9). You have to be 8 or older to do the go-karts. And, you have to weigh like 70 lbs to do the zip line. All three enjoyed the Euro-bungy. The HUGE disappointment was the Big Air Bag. My 7 yr old daughter jumped onto it and the bag wasn’t positioned correctly. The bag was too far out from the platform. Her fall was broken by the bag — thank goodness! but instead of staying on the bag, she was thrown off the bag and on the ground. Thankfully she doesn’t appear seriously injured but she landed on her head in a mud puddle, came up bleeding(cut mouth/gum), scraped up and down her arm and leg and covered in mud. [You can watch it here ] Here’s where it gets even worse. The staff operating this ride did NOT stop the ride. They would have let my 5 yr old jump right after if I hadn’t stopped her. The staff did not inquire how my 7 yr old was. She picked herself up and we walked together up the hill to the main lodge/bathroom area and NOONE who worked there asked us a single question or stopped us. I cannot imagine they didn’t see this happen. There weren’t that many people there, my daughter was crying loudly and was a mess(bleeding, muddy). Another parent there asked me if she was okay, as she was concerned. After we washed out the cuts in the bathroom, the manager of the facility(Alexander) came up and asked us what happened(I think one of the other parents must have said something to him). When we told him his response was, «You signed the waiver didn’t you?» and then he went on to say, «This has been working fine all summer.» Needless to say I was less than impressed with his concern about my daughter or the safety of other guests going off the Big Air Bag. The other patrons of the Adventure Park(there were only about 3 or 4 other families there at the time) all told their kids not to go on the Big Air Pillow, but I think the site would have allowed them to go on it. I filed a Police Report with Windham Police but was told it was«on private property» so there was«nothing they could do.» Alexander took my name but no one(they have my credit card info from how I paid) from Windham Mt has tried to contact me. I spoke with New York Dept of Labor, Safety and Health. They were VERY nice. They looked into the Big Air Bag and told me that by the letter of the law in NY State, this is not considered an «amusement device» thus it is NOT regulated by them, nor do they have to inspect it or have any jurisdiction over it. They also told me that I was not the first person who had notified them of problems with this particular facility. You may wonder why I give this place 2 stars instead of 1. Well, my friends told me if I give it 1 star no one on Unilocal will read my review and will think I am just a «bitter person». I am not bitter, but I don’t think anyone should go to this facility because the staff/facility’s attention to safety is lacking and it is dangerous.
