Just your standard big big big box store. Pretty busy, but there is not much else in this style in the area.

Very poor customer service for a brick and mortar business trying to compete with the internet. We went to Walmart(North Windham, Maine) to buy a flat screen TV. We chose to buy locally and not on-line and wanted to buy the TV that day. We went into the electronics department and reviewed the various choices and decided on a particular model. We asked the woman at the electronics desk for some help and she indicated that she was not able to help us(not sure why), but he would get someone to help us. She cornered the next sales associate coming out of the stock room and aked her to help us. this sales associated rolled her eyes and then looked to see if anyone else was around that could help us. However, there were no other associates, so she helped us. She explained that the model we wanted was not on display as it was the same as one that was, but was a Smart TV. That made sense, so we asked if they had any in stock, she said yes. The sales associated went out back and found the TV and brought it to the register so we could check out. She tried to complete the sale, but the system would not allow her to sell the product to us. She threw her hands up and said«I can’t sell this to you.» I was speechless, I’ve never had that happen. The product was advertised, it was in front of me, and there were others in stock, but they wouldn’t sell it to us. She said something like«Home office issue, nothing we can do about it.» The sales associated next to here indicated the same thing happened the day before!!! I asked if a manager could override the restriction and she said no. I turned around and thought about other options including other models, but when I turned around the sales associated was gone. She didn’t offer any other options, didn’t hang around to see if we had any questions, and honestly just seemed to be happy we were no longer her worry. I’ll purchased it on-line at a lower price with free 2-day delivery on Amazon. Tough for brick and mortar businesses to compete with this kind of customer service. I doubt I’ll buy anything of consequence at Walmart any more.

Didn’t have everything we needed. What they did have was reasonably priced. Parking can get tight when busy

I went here primarily to buy groceries and produce, and the selection was so-so. You get your typical Walmart prices, but the quality of the produce wasn’t really that outstanding. You might be better off buying your produce at Shaws. The store doesn’t give off a very well maintained vibe. Aisles were messy, clothing wasn’t neatly folded and put back in its place… but hey, what do you expect from Walmart?

I would like to very highly recommend the Walmart Vision Center in Windham, Maine. I had a medical issue that rapidly degraded vision causing two surgeries in my left eye. For a year the Walmart Vision Center people in Windham worked with me, sometimes weekly in obtaining perscribed corrective lenses and eye glass alignments/adjustments to optimize what I could see during the process. Today, with their support, I again have normal corrected vision, with eye glass frames and lenses that are as good or better than I’ve ever had. I have never had such care with my eye glasses. I would highly recommend them to anyone for expertise and care as well as quality goods and pricing.

At any given time during the Summer, you will find a gaggle of people in bright yellow shirts. Is it a cult? Are they going to eat me? What’s going on!?! Have no fear Mainers, it’s just the volunteer’s from Camp Sunshine. The tradition is that everyone hauls ass to this Wal-Mart during the first night of camp. It’s a ritual, almost a right of passage for new volunteers. I don’t think I’ve missed going to Wal-Mart in my 6+ years going to Camp. It’s a Supercenter. It’s a Wal-Mart. What more can you expect? They have absolutely everything you need, especially when it comes to Camp supplies. As much as I HATEHATEHATE Wal-Mart, I feel like I would be breaking some cardinal law by NOT coming here. It’s probably the onyl reason why I’m giving a Wal-Mart 2 stars!
