Best locals bar but totally friendly to unfamiliar faces. Great place to watch the game(whatever game that may be).

The easy to spot bright yellow and green Trolley Club is far less elegant than its name. The venue is a classic neighborhood working class bar that is far, far past its prime. The food is simple fare and the menu quite limited. So if you are an epicure who also prefers bone china and a starched waiter, the Trolley is not for you. But it is a great spot for a decent meal at rock bottom prices. Yesterday I stopped in for lunch and had a stuffed chicken breast(half breast stuffed with bread stuffing and covered with gravy) with bread/butter, homemade mashed red potatoes, and corn for $ 4, a bowl of homemade cream of mushroom soup for $ 3, and a generously sized glass of tap beer $ 3. There was also a cheeseburger plate(fries and such) on the menu for $ 4 and a couple of sandwiches(such as chicken salad) with chips for $ 3. The menu varies a bit each day. The food is always good in a straightforward way, with the soups especially tasty. Don’t let the«bar» part worry you. The patrons are a mature and quiet bunch. Entertainment consists of a couple of sports TV’s, a bit of friendly conversation at the bar, and watching the traffic go by on Main Street. You can eat at the bar or at one of the half-dozen tables. Note that I rate the Trolley highly for the kind of place it is rather than against more upscale, pricier venues. By the way, the Google map that came up next to the bar’s name places it incorrectly. It is toward the west end of Main Street ton the north side of the street.
