Definitely not the flagship location of Wendy’s. I love Wendy’s, but the one in Winder really sucks. I do not know where they find the employees for this location. It’s unreal. If they filmed«The Hills Have Eyes» in the ghetto, you’d then have an idea of what the people at the Winder Wendy’s are like. Everyone who works the front counter there seems to act like it’s their first day on the planet and can’t seem to handle the insurmountable complexity of your order — even if you point at the picture of it on the menu behind their heads. The place is usually pretty dirty. You have about a 20% chance of actually getting warm fries. The chili is mostly water. On a good day, they may actually put your hamburger patty between the two halves of the bun and put the toppings in there, somewhere. Most of the time, the ingredients are hastily thrown on the wrapper, and however they landed is how you’re going to see them when you unwrap your«sandwich». I’ve been in the Winder area for over ten years, now. Every once in a while, I’m out and about and I have a desire for a nice, warm, fresh Wendy’s hamburger. I figure«Well, there’s a Wendy’s right here in Winder — I’ll give it a try», and then I receive my food and go «Oh, yeah — NOW I remember why I don’t go to this Wendy’s». It’s just disappointing. If you want Wendy’s and you can bare the wait, do yourself a favor and just go to one in Lawrenceville or by the Mall of Georgia.
