Los Vaqueros

This place is always amazing. They have $ 1 Monday taco nights. $ 7 fajita Tuesday’s. And my favorite $ 9.99 Buffet night on Thursdays! They have EVERYTHING you could want. Authentic taste and by the way their bar is amazing, and VERY affordable I’m talking like 5 bucks for a fancy frozen drink! Amazing. Simply amazing. I always love it. And I bring my friends on a weekly basis. Staff is cool and always looks forward to us. I tell everyone I know about Los Vaqueros!

Kind of disappointed with this place. was pet sitting in the area and craving some Mexican food near by. walked back to the ‘bar’ gave drink order and asked for menu …5 min later menu given… played on phone 10 min later gave order ‘to go’ cheese dip WITH jalepenos and a menu item TO GO… delivered 5 min later bowl of cheese dip WITHOUT jalepenos and not in a to go cup. 5 mjn later menu item brought to me on a plate NOT to go… there only saving grace was comping my drink and me leaving with my order to go and a nice buzz… now for the taste test. Excellent food. Hubby had chicken and steak fajita taco salad and I had cheese pableno peppers meal. Both were delicious. The cheese dip was thick and hot and very good. Rice was tasty. This was our second time there. The staff was okay. Both visits we had staff that were okay but they got something on our order wrong both times and neither smokes much. The food was really good so we will be back but hopefully next time we get someone with a smile.

I went there this evening with one of my students. Another student was a waitress there. I live in East Cobb so it was a long journey. The food was excellent, the portions were large and the staff was as friendly as can be. I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. The dish I had included three large pieces of grilled chicken with a sautéed onion melody in a scrumptious sauce. It was wonderful. I have left overs due to the size of the portions. I feel lucky that I can taste some more tomorrow. I hope I can make the 37 mile drive from East Cobb to Winder soon. It was definitely worth it.

I’ve tried to give this place several opportunities and unfortunately, it never measures up.
The last (and will be the final) time I arrived here, I left without eating. It smelled horrible! Like bad sewage. Very gross.
They are way over-​priced!
My son’s taco had pink hamburger meat in it– undercooked. Not good at all!
Will NOT ever return here!

When I first started to eat at Los Vaqueros they were the best Mexican restaurant to eat at in town. However recently they have begun to dwindle in both food quality and customer service. Now when you go in there is often a long wait to get your food, and the food is often not that great to begin with. If you have something go wrong with your food, and you ask for the management to fix it, they will make you another one, but the problem will not be corrected. I had this happen to me several times recently with a bean burrito that I ordered from them, and I will not be going back because of it. My fiancé and father have both also had their fajitas before and have walked away feeling very sick.

Hands down, the best Mexican food in Winder. LV is a family-​owned and operated joint, with the best service experience you can have in any restaurant. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is great and extremely consistent. It is always our first choice for good Mexican food in the area.

Definitely the best value for Mexican food in Winder, GA. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is awesome and we have never had to wait for a table. You can get fajitas for $ 10 – 12 for one and feed two adults easily. My daughter says the kids cheese quesadilla is the best she has ever had. Both of my picky eaters ask to go to Los Vaqueros several times a week. This has quickly become our «go to» Mexican restaurant. We have become tired of waiting on tables, paying too much for the poor quality of food, and poor service of other places around town. These are not a problem at Los Vaqueros!

My husband and I have become regular diners at this place. Everything we’ve tried there so far has been delicious! I highly recommend the Burrito Loco. Its a huge steak burrito, served with pico de gallo and cheese sauce. Its spicy and wonderful! The fajitas are also excellent and the portions are huge, no going home hungry at this place! Like any Mexican restaurant they serve homemade warm tortilla chips and salsa and are eager to refill both chips and salsa. They have a nice bar and have a nice variety of beers, domestic and imported and they make a killer peach margarita. The staff is always friendly and the service is pretty good even when they are busy. I know if you sign up with your email they send coupons for their weekly specials, usually its just a percentage off, nothing great, but their prices are really good ($ 8.99 for the Burrito Loco) so we don’t mind too much. This is definitely our go to place for mexican food and I’d highly recommend it to anyone!

A solid 3.5, but I’ll round up for a first review. :) We dined at Los Vaqueros on a Monday evening. The restaurant offered us great service and a warm interior with TV screens on all sides. The food itself — tamales, tacos, rice, and beans — were all very tasty. As I recall, chips were decent although not spectacular. The tamales were the sort that we have been introduced to in Georgia (not Arizona) with red sauce and ground beef topping. Loads of parking in the big lot, so parties would be easy here. :)
