Security Service Federal Credit Union

I have been a member of this bank for many years. When I walk in I’m always greeted kindly by the security officer and staff. I was reviewing some of the comments on here this is what has prompted me to write a review. I was reading a silly comment from a bank member that I thought as meaningless and disrespectful. Josh B wrote a review on here and said he was mad because he was unable to smoke in the bank. Back in my day smoking was not an issue, but it’s so harmful to your health! Smoking has been banned in many restaurants, airports and movie theaters and as far as I know and aware e-​cig/​vapor included. Maybe Josh should be aware of banks rules and regulations. This behavior should not be tolerated and this is pure ignorance!!! The officer was doing his job and if you don’t come to this bank… (I don’t really think anyone would care) There is other Security Service Banks available!

Stopped in here the other day (unannounced) to meet with the Security Service Investment Group Representative, Brandon Medina, and secure some information on a summer loan promotion they are running. Turns out Brandon was not in, as he was at a different location, but I was able to secure an appointment to discuss investment options (which I also discovered are offered without charge to Credit Union Members, so I opened an account). Same story on the loan, you pretty much have to be a Member to do business with Security Service. I was helped by a girl named Anna, she was very well informed and assisted me with opening the account and processing the loan.
Seemed to be a pretty good place to conduct some financial planning except that Brandon was not there. I did like allot of the features offered by «SSFCU», not many places provided free investment assistance with accounts, a toll free number answered 24 hours a day 7 days a week anywhere on the globe sounds really great. There also seemed to be allot of flexibility with Master Cards, Lines of Credit, Commercial Accounts, etc.
I like the fee schedules (none really, depending on your needs/​wants), and the only reason for the 4 star rating is I’m just not sure that a Credit Union can «bring it» for a small business like a bank can. Ya Know?
On a personal level I am really considering doing all my personal banking with this Credit Union. There rewards program is outstanding (1 point for every $ 2.00 I spend by Debit/​Master Card) if for no other reason than that I use my current Master Card Debit Card for EVERYTHING and get nothing in return. At least here I’d get a gas card from Shell for just spending money. Well, I may likely be updating this after I meet with Brandon, I do like the range of investment opportunities available offered without additional cost to «Members».
There were also some really great people here as well, and ahhhh what the hell… some hotties… for sure… sorry I had to go there… I am a guy… thank you Melissa and Patricia! ;)
