Tippy’s Taco House

Amazing simply amazing, I went here with my girlfriend. She ordered a burrito and I got fish tacos. The burrito was amazing. The beans on the side are homemade and delicious. The fish tacos were the best, actually it was the best taco i had ever eaten, ever. The fish is fresh and flavorful, everything here is handmade, and the cilantro sauce they make for these tacos are amazing! Add little bit of the lime and some sour cream and guacamole. Just delicious. I would go here every week if I could, sadly we live in Maryland. This place is a must to try. The atmosphere and waiting staff is leaned back and friendly. Everything is just well done and simply perfect. This is a meal I will never forget.

Ever read a review of a Mexican or Tex-​Mex restaurant and the reviewer tells you how they are from S. California or Texas, so therefor they should have some special insight on Mexican food. Well I’m not from SoCal or Texas but I have been there, Tippy’s Taco House rates right up there with the plethora of below average Mexican restaurants that dot the southwest. These days you’re just as likely to find quality Tex-​Mex or Mexican anywhere in the USA, including Winchester. Tippy’s is not one of them. My burrito while filling was about as bland as they come. My wife ordered the chili, yuck. Sent it back and got the Adobo Rubbed Chicken salad, the chicken it’s self was quite good, otherwise nothing special. Warm Queso dip also bland.
Tippys almost got 3 stars due to the chicken and very good margarita’s, but in the end only 2 stars.
