Ledo Pizza

Surprisingly the wings were very good. Pizza I had remembered as better. Clean restaurant. Full Italian menu. Friendly waitresses.

This place is hit or miss. It used to be a favorite of ours but not so much anymore. The soup, breadsticks and salad is a good deal for lunch but the soups almost always disappoint. They are obviously not homemade and are not reheated well. The salads are great and the house dressing delicious. The bread sticks are generally good. Sometimes you don’t get real fresh ones. I like their buffalo chicken salad also. It is definitely family friendly which isn’t always a bonus for those of us without little children.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. So far I have tried a create-​your-​own pizza as well as an alfredo with Italian sausage dish. The only complaint about the pizza was that you really had to work at cutting the cheese if you wanted to prevent all the cheese from falling off the pizza. No complaints with the alfredo.
Overall the food did taste good, its just nothing really all that special.

Good service not great. Only reason for 4 stars. Pizza, Stromboli, pizza and sandwiches are all great. Can get noisy with kids but very family friendly

I’d say maybe 3.5. The buffalo chicken fries were tasty! Even though they did not leave the blue cheese crumbles off as requested. The pizza was greasy and nothing special. The crust was too thin and soggy so it got lost under the toppings. I love crust so I was sad it wasn’t sturdy enough to hold up.

My husband and I were on a weekend getaway when decided to stop to eat before we got on the highway. We saw Ledos and decided to try it. It was a Friday and the place was jammed. We had never been to Ledos before and we thought we would try it.
We ordered the Pop Pie and the cheesy fries. the cheesy fries were fabulous. However, the pizza was not. It had no flavor at all. It literally tasted like nothing. The dough was flavorless, the white sauce also flavorless. We couldn’t taste the cheeses. Basil was supposed to top the pizza and we found it on two squares. That was the most flavor there was. We had to douse it with parm cheese, pepper flakes, salt and pepper to eat it.
I would never go to another Ledos again.
On the positive side, the service was AMAZING. The hostess and the wait staff were truly outstanding.

Classic Italian fare, good prices, well executed, and friendly service. Just off the highway and providing a solid value for travelers. The ceasar salad was well executed. Anchovies were generously applied, as requested. A rare pleasant surprise. The house red sauce was homemade, fresh, and was as good as I have had or made. The garlic bread was dry, but it was the only aspect of the dinner that was not good.

Go see Sam, she’s very attentive and keeps your drinks and bellies full. Her service is second to none, she even used my name. I also heard her interacting with some regulars and it was pretty impressive.
Above all, the food is awesome and their pizza sauce is perfectly sweet.
The place was also very clean and everyone seemed to be working hard. Something is being done right!

Sorry Ledo. I’m just not getting you. We walked over from a nearby hotel, needing something warm and comforting. That being the case, we thought pizza was a no-​brainer. We pored over the options, many of which sounded quite good. Unfortunately, what arrived at the table was just sad.
The pizza was served directly on a cafeteria tray, and one that didn’t look particularly new. The crust is square and flat, without flavor. The sauce tasted like it came right out of the can. The toppings were generic and not hot. If I’d made such a creation at home, I’d be disappointed with my efforts and say that’s why we should get pizza out. That way I could expect better preparation, cooking methods, ingredients. In this case, I got what I’d expect my 6 year old nephew to put together. It was lacking… a lot.
That being said, the server was very nice. We moved our floppy pieces around a bit, and left most of it there. I couldn’t even bring myself to take it and avoid wasting. Maybe Ledo’s fits someone else’s palate, but it definitely was not for us.

We grew up on the“original” Ledo’s in college park, md, so we are loyal Ledo fans. It’s great to have an outlet so close to home. The current owners do a great job, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is fresh and hot. They always have a special on offer, and we get coupons twice a month for buy one, get one. It’s a great family place, really part of the community. Give them a try!

Staying at a nearby hotel, we welcomed the chance to walk our way over to Ledo’s after our long day of travelling. The dining room was full at 7 on a Saturday night, but we were seated quickly. While waiting, we noticed a steady stream of take out customers. Service was quick and very friendly, which we appreciated as we were all starving. The cheese pizza was devoured by kids and proclaimed to be very good. Other kids happily feasted on the cheese ravioli. The adults both enjoyed different chicken entrees. As we left an hour later, traffic continued to pour in, both to dine and take out. This is not fine Italian cuisine, but it doesn’t market itself as that anyway. If you are looking for a decent meal at a reasonable price, Ledo’s is a place worth checking out.

Came here on Father’s Day for lunch with a bunch of family — 15 of us!
The staff was ultra friendly and helpful in getting tables put together for all of us. We tried not to create too much of a fuss, but with 15 of us we can’t help but create a bit of a commotion. The staff was great in getting us all situated and minimize any disruption we may have caused.
The food — you know the food. It’s good. I opted for the Lemon Fresco pizza and couldn’t have loved it more, although for some it may be an acquired taste… the lemon is definitely assertive and it may not work for some (my wife included). I’m always happy after I eat Ledo’s and this day was no different.
What made our visit stand out was our ultra helpful, attentive, and just plain awesome server, Shelby. She took the time to dote on the six, yes SIX kids in our party, even going so far as to help them put on temporary tattoos, making sure there were plenty of crayons and coloring paper at the table, and so on. She took care of our entire party where no one had to be concerned with having an empty glass. Food came out very quickly, which is no small detail when you have a bunch of hungry kids at the table!
This particular restaurant is a ways away from my house, but frankly I wouldn’t have a problem driving the distance if every experience was as fantastic as the one I enjoyed for my father’s day. Thanks Ledo of Winchester!!!

Let me start by being fair. Having lived my whole life having Philly or N.Y. style pizza and knowing how horrible it is south of the mason Dixon line, we should have known better. Ledo’s pizza was better than most in the south, but not something I’d go back for. While it was better than frozen, it leaves a lot to be desired compared to the areas I listed above. The staff was friendly, as I’ve come to expect in Virginia, the service was fast and the atmosphere better than most pizza places anywhere. For these reasons, I gave them three stars, not the food. I’d bet locals would disagree with me as the place was packed for a Sunday afternoon, and that’s fine. Won’t be on my comeback list, but if you’re not used to really good pizza, that shouldn’t discourage you.

It may not be handmade NY pizza but for a chain restaurant it’s pretty good. I’ve only had their pizza but it was good enough to make me come back for more. It’s a square pie, very neatly made and quite tasty. The price is good and atmosphere is very pleasing. The store is clean and employees efficient and friendly. I really have no complaints and would definitely recommend.

Second time and for pizza on a cold day in Lido’s though the place was empty the waitress was very efficient and up first was our cold beer glass of wine and Pepsi we ordered the medium pizza which we love with pepperoni and sausage it was absolutely delicious restaurant was very clean I would recommend them very highly for a pizza stop always get The square pizza but it is very good Great pizza experience different taste and style of pizza but watch you try it your hooked

This place does not even deserve one star! The pizza is a pre-​made shell, and it tastes like a soggy cracker. The sauce is out of a can. The caprase salad was cherry tomatoes and little fresh mozzarella balls on a stick, with romaine lettuce. More l like a toss salad to me. And my penne Fresno… Flavorless. I went here with my family, not knowing it was a chain. Regardless it was gross. We left more than half of our food that we ordered. I keep reading on Facebook that this place has the best pizza?! Well I don’t know about the other locations… But this one in particular; I feel bad for the people in this area, because it is sooo not good. It’s processed crap!!!

We went there for lunch and experienced great service. Ask for Jordan… he does a fantastic job.

I’ve only been there once but we got a pretty good buffalo chicken pizza.

TASTY PIZZA, PASTAS & SALADS!
Haven’t had a bad or even a subpar meal from here. The pizza’s are always hot whether you get take out or eat there. The crust and toppings always have good taste. Decent variety of specialty pizza’s or create your own.
The salads are very tasty.
The pasta’s are solid. Not gonna knock you over, but good bang for the buck. Plus you can pick and choose someitems for your pasta dishes like chorizo, mushrooms, peppers, etc.
For take out they have it ready in about 15 minutes.
The restaurant is basic but always clean and nice. Very good for kids. Pricing is moderate, especially if you get apps, beers, desserts.

I wish I could give it a zero. Went there with my family ordered spaghetti there was so much water in the dish it looked like noodles floating in orange broth. I said something about it to the waitress who rolled her eyes at me and said it’s cooked in water what do I expect. I was so ticked off I couldn’t talk to the manager and didn’t want to cause a scene infrint of my kids so they finished thier food and I stopped at sonic on my way home.
