I think that accreditation abbreviation needs one more A, Doc. After a severe reaction to shellfish(noooo!), my PCP referred me to Krishna and crew. Was able to book an new patient appointment in less than a week, and the their office deep within the ground floor bowels of the gigantic 955 Main St complex is easy to find, with ample parking. But it’s Winchester, so, y’know, parking is everywhere. Check in was a snap, and they saw me as the clock struck my appointment. There was a bit of the ol’ how tall, how heavy and I was checking emails while awaiting the doctor’s counsel. It’s an allergist, so don’t expect outrageous bedside manner — our dialogue was topical, brief and somewhat poignant. I mean, I almost shuffled off this mortal coil because of shrimp, yo. How jovial can our chit chat be? They gave me the standard scratch test, and the results were inconclusive. But Dr. Vandana was extremely thoughtful on what other contributors could have played a part in the overall debacle, although much of it was concluded after I initiated suggestions. Instead of «Do you have any sinus or nasal issues, like XYZ?» «Why, yes, yes I do,» it was«I sometimes get XYZ, does that matter?» «Oh yes, yes it can, which is further aggravated by ABC.» Progress is progress is a two way street. In and out in under an hour, diagnosed and remedied. No frills, no thrills, no modern furniture and no cell signal(although they do have free wifi), but a solid, no-nonsense doc that’ll tell you what you need to know.
