Stayed 1 night for a spontaneous weekend trip on Labor Day weekend. Rates were competitive but were higher than I’d expected for Winchester. Bedding was comfortable, room clean as expected, little extras noticed in the suite’s cabinet(plates/plasticware) but didn’t need them this time. My only«complaints» would be the pool was so heavily chlorinated, it left me looking like I’d been to a weed convention, my husband sat in the area for no more than 20 mins and his eyes were also red. Breakfast had a decent selection but the pancake machine was not working, and later my husband went out to grab a water and realized the cooler was locked. The lady managing the breakfast area barked«breakfast was over at 10!!» — it was 10:02. We noticed, later, the complimentary water at the front desk. The Sheetz and fast food in the same parking lot are also quite convenient.

Stood for one night, great customer service. The receptionist knew my name as soon as I said I had reservations. Every staff is very friendly and complimentary breakfast was great. The pool was available to use late at night along with the hot tub.

Stayed here recently for business and it was exactly as expected. The hotel was conveniently located(for me), clean, comfortable and quiet. Top it off with a $ 60 per night rate and I’d certainly stay here again the next time I’m in town.

Horrible housekeeping. We’ve stayed here many times to visit family at Westminster Canterbury next door. Typically it’s an OK place for a night or two. I don’t know if there is new management or what but this visit has been awful on the housekeeping/maintenance front. The key to our room didn’t work over and over — three different sets still didn’t work. Finally they had someone come look and the battery in the card reader was dead. The toilet leaked. I stepped barefooted on someone else’s corn chips on the floor by my bed. Ugh. «Well,» I thought, «the maid won’t miss that twice – they’ll vacuum that up tomorrow.» Wrong. We got back to our room after so called servicing and it looked like a 10 year old had made up the beds and then taken a nap on top afterwards. The remote was in the middle of the floor. Other trash was on the floor. The trash cans had not been emptied but there was a roll of liners left on the counter. Long dark hair was in the sink(I’m blonde). The fresh towels were just left in an untidy stack on the edge of the sink. And the chips on the floor by the bed were still there. And that’s just what we could see. I shudder to think of all that we couldn’t see! I went down and spoke to the front desk. The young man was very polite and professional. He handled my complaint and request that our rooms be re-serviced well. But when we returned later it wasn’t much better. I called the desk and again had another very nice person who explained that the other fellow had been handling the desk and property alone and the maid service had left already and he hadn’t been trained in housekeeping yet and did the best he could but wasn’t experienced … Hmmm. So maybe the front desk is at the mercy of poor housekeeping, or maybe it’s all just a cluster party of ineptitude. In any case it doesn’t meet the bare minimum of what these chains are supposed to provide. We won’t be staying here again even though it’s the most convenient location to our family.

Spent 1 night here on the way up north. Within a few minutes, I was registered and on my way to room 312. Friendly staff. Large comfy king size bed, clean room, fresh linen. With AAA discount room charge came to $ 76.95. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good. The usual offerings, freshly made on location. Next time I pass thru, I will stop here.

It was decent, but overpriced for what I got. There’s a Food Lion near by

I and a friend stayed here in May. With the student discount he paid ~$ 60 for a night. We had no complaints and I would have given the experience 4 stars. This time they charged my friend $ 90 and when he asked about the student discount they said it was already included. Two days later when I was sitting in the lobby I overheard a front desk woman quoting rooms on the phone in the range of $ 70 – 80. I asked her about our rate and we ended up finding out we were unknowingly paying for a suite and the student discount wasn’t factored in. She student-discounted $ 13 off each of the 3 nights for us but seemed bothered doing so. Plus, they din’t have Wi-Fi. For the next 3 days we stayed at a different hotel.
