This was a legit awful experience. If I hadn’t had most of my money refunded, I would’ve declared war on Grand Rental Station. My wedding was on a Saturday. GRS stated they’d arrive with everything(tent, chairs, tables, glasses, etc.) the Thursday before. Wednesday, I double check they’re still coming. «Yea yea, expect us around 0900AM.» Ok. We did. We sat at the farm from 0900AM until 0500PM… no rentals as far as the eye could see. Several calls were made back and forth in this time frame, each time they promised they’d be there in 45 minutes(I’m not sure where this magical number kept coming from). Apparently, some goof told me my stuff would be the first delivery but actually… we were last. The stuff arrived at about 0600PM… but they couldn’t set the tent up because they forgot a part. They PROMISED to be back first thing Friday morning to set it up. Friday morning arrives… rehearsal day. We still can’t set up tables\decorations because the tent isn’t up. They arrive at about 11… forgot another part for the tent. AREYOUKIDDINGME? They leave… promising(I don’t believe their promises by that point) they’d come back with a nicer, fancier tent to make up for their idiocy. They come back… missing a part for the fancy tent. WTF?! We left at about 0500PM, and the tent still wasn’t up. We had to have friends stay to set up tables and decorations for the wedding… THENEXTDAY. They even had the nerve to stick around after the tent finally went up to hint for a tip. No tip for you. I called the company every day all day enraged with their Three Stooges act. I got my tent money refunded as well as the delivery fee. Apparently some guy got fired(not necessarily what I wanted). Alright alright, you want a tip? Here’s a tip: do things right the first time. It’s a lot easier to do things right the first time than try to fix them after the fact. In the end, I married the love of my life. I didn’t even think about the screwed up rental situation. Worst customer service EVER. Never signed a contract and they’re saying that they get to keep our $ 550 deposit because of an undisclosed 28-day cancellation requirement. If I never signed a contract and you never made us aware, how could I know of that. Doesn’t say on your website. Doesn’t say that in the couple emails you wrote. We thought we were being very courteous with a 3-week notice. Had we known about your policy, we would have made absolutely sure to cancel 28 days out. BOTTOMLINE: they had they ability to fix this and they chose to err on the side of crappy customer service and keep our deposit. Not to mention a sarcastic, couldn’t-care-less assistant manager. AVOIDTHEMATALLCOSTS.
