First time at a Frisch’s ever. Group of 3. two adults one toddler. Cheerfully greeted upon entrance by our smiling waitress Amanda. Seated us in a booth as requested and supplied A high chair for my son. Took our drink order and educated us as to what’s on the salad bar. Promptly returned with our drinks and took our appetizer order. The Fried Pickles were done and presented so fast we were still deciding on our order. Amanda respectfully gave us our additional time to decide and arrived just in time to take our order. I ordered the open face roast beef, mashed potatoes and the soup and salad bar. Everything on the salad bar was crisp, green and fresh with many, many choices. The bar was easy to maneuver around and everything was labeled appropriately. My soup and salad was just as good as it looked. Amanda then returned with our food and promptly, with a smile removed my empty plates. She returned with our refills before I had even made the first cut into the massive stack of roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes all on Texas toast sized untoasted white bread. The temperatures were fine and the portions amazing. As for the taste, I will be eating there again. When a plate was empty, Amanda removed it. When a glass was empty, she refilled it. After declining desert our check was presented just before finishing our meal. On our way to pay Amanda made it a point to see us cheerfully out, but not without a kids coupon, stickers, suckers and a smile. I was wowed to say the least. I will be returning for salad bar lunch breaks and family dinners often and soon.

Terrible breakfast, service was even worse. The eggs were served cold, the chicken fried steak seemed like a microwaved piece of shoe leather. The waitress took 15 minutes to get me coffee and then disappeared forever once she served the meal. Maybe she was embarrassed – I would have been.

For a chain«fast food/diner» type I have to give this spot 5 stars. It wasn’t steaks and fancy fish dishes, more burgers and regional favorites. Country fried chicken, etc. our service was fast and friendly, the food came out really quickly and everything tasted spot on and good. They have a fruit and salad bar that(at first) looks a bit sparse — but I decided to get it anyway, due to the side options being so basic etc. they had a nice southwestern-ish corn/pasta salad and some others, and they were all really tasty! I like my high end restaurants as much as the next guy but for what this place is — it was a home run. Can’t say they’re all this good, but I would be more than willing to find out. Décor is basic, seemed almost mid-century modern, if thats a thing. Brightly lit… simple.

Stopped for lunch today; it was«ok» but not memorable. Soft drink mix was off & had a flat taste; onion rings were not at all good. Soup was good(chili & chicken tortilla); fish sandwiches were so-so. Service was friendly & prices reasonable. Overall, there are better spots.(Salad bar looked good; should have had that!)

Originally being from Maryland and now living in Pennsylvania I grew up with Bob’s Big Boy. While traveling through Kentucky I saw a sign for Big Boy’s and I got really excited since my Big Boy’s has been gone for over 20 years. Bob’s is now Frisch’s and really became excited to see all that I loved about Big Boy’s was still the same, even the recipe for my favorite burger«The Big Boy». This is a must go to place if you are looking for a great meal with friendly staff at a great price!!!

A pleasant surprise for an Illinois traveler. Food was good, very clean facility. Nice salad bar but I chose the classic big boy and was quite pleased. Fries are just so so. Glad to have something we can no longer get in Illinois. If you are looking for a burger or salad this is a fast stop.

The waitress was certainly friendly and outgoing enough, the place was clean(both lobby and bathroom), and a Frisch’s Big Boy sandwich is delicious… but it’s very hard to find any truly healthy options on the menu.

Big boys was a hopping place last Sunday. It was packed. All of the church folk were out and about. Every family with at least 4 kids was there. Their breakfast/brunch buffet until 2pm makes everyone come a runnin. I had a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and mac/cheese. Then a HUGE piece of coconut cream pie to wash it down with. All in all pretty good. The waitress was extremely nice. This was sad to say only my second time dining at the big boy in my life. I will probably return at some point.

Friendly service and food arrived very quickly. Restaurant and bathrooms very clean. Food was great — Big Boy for dad and chili spaghetti for me. I will definitely go back when in the Winchester area.

Decent food at a fair price. I find their food to be pretty good. I usually call in my order and it’s ready when I get there. They have a wide variety of sandwiches that are pretty good. I wish they would have a wider selection on their take out menu. The vegetable soup with grilled cheese sandwich is a delicious and fairly inexpensive meal to order. The Big Boy Burger is always a wise choice, as well as the Super Big Boy Burger.
