I have eaten at many 5 Guys restaurants and this one has the most consistently good fries! (they are occasionally overdone at other locations, but not whenever I’ve been here) I also love the customizable soda machine, and the ability to order bun-​less burgers and hot dogs! They are also very friendly and make an effort to greet and say goodbye to everyone that comes and goes through the doors. The guy that is usually taking orders appears to be the franchise owner, or the manager at least, and he obviously makes every effort to please the customers and create a pleasant atmosphere. I’m not always feeling the classic rock that seems to be playing, but my hubby and 4 year old sure love it ;) This is a frequent lunch/​dinner spot for us.

My fiancée and I went to Five Guys after an awful experience at another place in Winchester. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman and he took our orders while making us laugh. We paid and got our drinks and our food was out in about five minutes. The burgers were cooked perfectly with fresh, delicious toppings. The fries (we got a little fry with Cajun seasoning) were amazing! A little fry and two little burgers were plenty for both of us! It’s a relaxed atmosphere and the restaurant is always clean and smells wonderful. I always get jalapenos on my burger, and their fresh ones are great. Upon leaving, the same gentleman that waited on us told us to have a great night and thanked us for coming in. Impeccable service and all the employees seem to have great attitudes!

I’m trying to think of a place in Winchester to get a better burger… You can get a fancier burger at a few places I guess. But when it comes to just a straight up all American burger with all the key attributes in place that make the humble burger something more, something that just is perfect in its own right. Nobody is doing it better than Five Guys. Currently.
Only reason I don’t give five stars is that I don’t really dig their fries and you can’t have a «perfect» burger experience with less than perfect fries.

It could have been the day of the week or the fluke time I was here, but I was unimpressed with the place.
First off, as I mentioned, there were not, in fact, 5 Guys working behind the counter. I bet if I remember accurately there still weren’t 5 guys with the bus/​janitor looking guy.
And, well, the lack of 3 guys was obvious to us while we waited… and waited… and waited for our food. Then finally when we got it it was just alright. It most certainly did not make us addicted to our dinner.
We actually wished we had gotten the take out food we got the day before instead of Five Guys that night.
Maybe it’s got good days, but I was there on a busy, regular looking night and I was left wanting.

If you order fries, you only need to order a small because they put the cup in the bag and then add a few more scoops of fries in the bag.

Another Winchester location, same great burgers. Forget anywhere else. This is not sissy health food, you want healthy go somewhere else. You want a great burger, go to Five Guys. Enough said. Better than Fosters by a mile. Maybe a little pricey for Winchester standards, but for what you get a real bargain.
