Enjoyed ourselves the last couple times being in the court street still a problem with the bartenderJJ who refuses to serve me a drink because of my Unilocal review it’s a shame what a restaurant can’t let that person get away with not even serving me in the bar when she’s working. i’ve always felt my Unilocal reviews are on us again but for someone to try to control how far and have so much influence on a restaurant as a waitress it’s kind of sad
This review was done a while ago I did get a note from the owner and said she is no longer with the company and moved away that is great news for all of us in Winchester

FANTASTIC ribs! Just the right amount of sweet smoke — the seasoning highlighted and enhanced the yummy pork, didn’t cover it up. Even thought they don’t advertise catering, I had to get enough to feed 15 people for my son’s birthday party, and they were super flexible and accommodating. We also got some awesome coleslaw, beans, and fries… everything was a huge hit at the party, but I just can’t get over how good those ribs were… thank you Tiffany for helping me get all the goods into my car! We’ll be back — for sure.

The is an old Winchester favorite. Food is always good and the beer cold. The old section is great to dine in. You get the true tavern feel. Been in the new section twice & it’s a great addition. Lots more room for larger groups.

I cannot stop thinking of their bacon cheese fries and their stiff drinks. I am sure there are other great things. Love the outside and the smoking side :)

Walked out before ordering our first drink. We sat down at the bar and some fake red haired bartender walks up with a scowl and in a inaudible voice says, what do you want. When my girlfriend asked her to repeat herself she snaps at us «I said what do you want». No greeting, no smile, no sale. She was such a rude snot we looked at each other, got up and walked out. No wonder they have the lowest rating out of the bars here.

Eh… the food is eh. Every time I come here I’m never overly impressed. The service is ok, starts off really good but seems to sputter out after the meal. The patio is really nice and the location is good. That’s about it, just kinda eh…

Solid pub food. For appetizers, we had the chicken fingers (which were ok) and the loaded cheese fries (which were great). For dinner, I had the full rack of baby back ribs which was good. These are not true southern bbq smokehouse quality ribs but good restaurant quality.

I used to love this place. My family used to go regularly and even would make the 30 minute drive here just to pick up the fish and chips for take out.
The fish used to have the perfect crunch. But what I got today was soggy and greasy.
Ive been really disappointed with my last few meals here. I won’t return, which is a shame because this place used to be a favorite of mine.

Weird layout. First we entered the smoking side, which is a bar. The place was semi full of smokers… the barmaid looked at us and said, «this it the smoking side, if you don’t like it you can go to the non smoking side.» Wow. What a welcome. And no shit lady! As if I couldn’t tell. We should have left.
So we walk back outside to find the door to the non smoking side. WEIRD. The non smoking side was empty (it was early) but we had a drink anyway. The older female bartender on the non smoking side was wonderful. The bar wench on the smoking side came over and apologized as one of her patrons told he she sounded like a bitch to us, which she did.
The nice bartender chatted us up and told us about their signature dish, the ribs. She also told us about Apple Fest and how we should visit during that time which is early May.
We were starving so I ordered the crab dip with deep fried bread. It was just OK.
We paid our tab and went to Union Jacks, which is more our speed anyway.

Very cool location, good bar service, and food looks great. ONLY complaint is the mens bathroom, you have to go through folks dinner table area to get to it. I don’t like that at all. I understand more tables, but one less would be perfect.

Delicious, good service. Pepper jack mozzarella sticks were home made and the best I ever had!!! Portabella mushroom burger grilled to perfection and so very tasty! Ribs falling off the bone and seasoned so well!

When we asked a shop owner on the walking mall about this restaurant he said: «well it won’t kill you». That about sums up our visit. My husband ordered Fish and Chips, I ordered a Chef salad. The food was very, very average. The meat on my salad was two pieces of rolled up lunch meat. There was plenty of chips but light on the fish. The waitress was very pleasant but the service again was very, very average. The interior was clean but very shabby and austere.

I’ve never noticed this place, ever, in all my time in winchester until a friend told me about it. I now know what I’ve been missing. Incredible burger, really nice appetizers, and amazing, I repeat, amazing mozzarella sticks (which goes with appetizers). I got the BBQ bacon burger, and I did not know what I was going to get. I towering burger with onion ringers, a juicy patty with a authentic burger bun to top it off. Although they did mess up a bit on the cooking of my patty (I wanted well done, they gave me medium well) the burger was phenomenal. The interior was a bit dirty, with a dead bug and a area of dust filling the window area, it wasn’t too flashy, but the outside looked really nice. I’d recommend this place to anyone e who wants a really well made burger with really fresh ingredients.

My husband and I went there for dinner on an early Friday evening. They had music on the patio that was enjoyable. They carry Naked Mountain Chard which I can always count on being there. Their food is hit and miss. Husband enjoyed his steak and potatoes. But how can a chef mess up a BLT? We go to Cork Street many times monthly and you’d think they would treat you better.

I’m a little delayed in writing this, to be fair. But last time I was there, I was really disappointed that the food had increased significantly in price but not quality. Maybe even more importantly, the service was just horrible. We waited about an hour to get our lunch– and then the order was wrong– even though there was no one else in the restaurant. They comped part of the meal, but I don’t think I’ll go back. It’s not the same Cork Street, and given all the new restaurants in the area, it just isn’t competitive anymore.

Cork street is awesome for a multitude of reasons: fantastic service, a laid back vibe and yummy food. As a bonus there is a cozy back deck and a pretty sweet jukebox.
Ive never had anything but a good experience at Cork which is the reason I go back nearly everytime Im in town. You can expect a reasonable wait during prime dinner hours on the weekends but thats never a surprise with a popular downtown eatery.
I would recommend this place to anyone interested in a casual environment, good food and great service!

We went here for lunch the other day and enjoyed it. We wanted to sit outside, and they have a very nice outdoor patio. We got the club sandwich with their homemade chips and the portabella sandwich with fries. The club sandwich was great. It came on thick slices of bread and the bacon was nice and crispy. The chips were barbecue flavor and were quite good. The portabella sandwich left something to be desired, however. There just wasn’t much to it. The service was great, though — very friendly and attentive. Overall, this is a good place to go sit outside and have a casual bite.
