Apple Federal Credit Union

Apple Federal Credit Union tellers have always been very kind and helpful to me. The people at the front desk would remember my name and face, remember details of my life and situation, etc. I was walked through opening a retirement account in under 20 minutes with no appointment, which was great. Occasionally a new teller will take a while to get on their feet, but there has never been a pattern of poor service at this branch– in fact I’d say there’s a pattern of excellent and personalized service. What’s more, I got my first personal loan from AFCU and they were never anything but helpful, organized, and professional.
I know some of the new members who were absorbed through the purchase of Winchester Family Credit Union are displeased with mishaps here and there and money being ‘lost’ but I’m not sure many of those members realize that the reason their credit union had to close is because a woman there was embezzling and stole so much that the union could not sustain business another day. ‘Lost’ money may have something to do with that, and NOT Apple employees’ supposed «incompetence».

When winchester family credit union was sold to apple all of my accounts were screwed up and my fathers too. They lost the 2 savings accounts that were opened for my twin daughters that had over $ 600 on each. No record on them by name or ssn. So if I cant find a statement I’m just out the $ 1200 that was my childrens tuition seed. Thank you for the bigest display of gross incompetence that I have ever seen. As soon as this is settled I’m closong all accounts. They have just lost 2 customers of over 30 yrs! If you are thinking about opening an account, you are asking for trouble

The customer service reps are extremely rude and catty. I would suggest going to a bank that possesses basic customer service skills and etiquette.
