Cathy is an amazing hair stylist who takes her time to make sure you get a good cut. I’ve been cursed by trying to grow out a really bad cut, and she worked miracles to get me back on the road to good hair. I’m on vacation, but would travel the 4 hours to get a cut from her again. Definitely recommend this cute shop!

My whole family has been going to Kokopelli Salon for Deb and Josh for years through all of their moves. WE LOVE THEM! They are both very talented and can do standard stuff as well as wild and fun cuts and color. Vicki, the nail lady, is excellent, too, and a very welcome addition to the crew. The new shop is spacious and uncrowded and comfortable.

Absolutely love anything Josh does to my hair, and now my daughter says he’s her first choice as well. He’s not afraid to do the bold cuts, which makes us happy because we’ve had trouble getting stylists to cut as short as she wants it.
Update: I wanted a big change… now I’ve got a gorgeous platinum pixie. Josh is a genius!

I was a walk-​in for a pedicure and eyebrow wax, they got me right back. Vicky was my nail tech and she did a great job and took her time which I appreciated. The salon was very clean and nice. I also had Kathy wax my eyebrows, she took her time and they look great.
*Vicky told me that she will no longer be taking cards and to bring cash or check for her. Overall great experience and I will be back!

Butchered my wife’s hair… so pissed… would never recommend. Thoroughly disappointed. Save your marriage a disappointing evening.

Josh did however apologised and said he missed the appointment due to technology. I will try him again next time I am in town.

I recently moved to Wimberley and needed to find a Hair Stylist! Whenever I admired someone’s hair-​cut and hi-​light, I would ask: «Who is your Hair Stylist?» The consistent reply: «JOSH at Kokopelli Salon, he is fantastic and affordable!»
I rang Josh, whom was very inviting to book my appointment. Josh cut my hair which received rave reviews! A couple of months passed and I booked a hi-​light appointment. My former hair stylist insisted no color will cover gray, he just blended it in with blonde hi-​lights! Therefore, I was very concerned with coloring my gray hair. Josh’s EXCELLENT EXPERTISE colored the gray, blended the colors to look like my natural hair color! Once again, I received compliments on my hair :)
Josh also volunteered to thin-​out my son’s hair! He was very pleased really liking the results!
My biggest compliment is to give Josh referrals. I highly recommend his talent and prices! Additionally, I paid my former stylist $ 150 for hi-​lights and cut. I paid Josh $ 100 for my hi-​lights, cut and my son’s cut!

A family owned and operated salon. Love it! If you are an old timer, you know where the used book store use to be, that is where Kokopelli is located. If your new to Wimberley. it’s in the Pizza Hut Building, wrapped around the side opposite the pizza parlor. Spacious, a fabulous set up, a talented nail tech and wow, they stock Fashion Outlaws head bands and hair wraps! The only place in town where style and fashion pop.

She had the most heinous purple hair and spent the ENTIRE haircut talking about how bad my hair was. She had no idea she was secret shopped.

Quaint small town feel in Mom/​son salon. Josh knows what he is doing. Love my new cut. Was brave and said yes when he wanted to try a new color (copper) with highlights. Have had many compliments. Glad to find excellent service, style and color right in Wimberley.

Josh cut and colored my hair and it’s even better than I first imagined. I got great service, exactly the color I wanted and had a great time while I was there.
