Lots of goodies in this place, one of my weaknesses is pecans with just about anything on them… quite a collection of sauces including Silver Leaf from Missouri City… they need some Mikey V’s…

Neat little stopover in town. Either grab a cold drink(with or without alcohol, your choice of course), try some samples such as various jalapeño jams, honey butters, or wines, and just enjoy a nice conversation with the employees or strangers depending on how social you’re feeling. And if you’re wanting a bit of fresh air, you do have the option of sitting out in the patio. It’s a narrow area but it’s there nonetheless.

This store reminds me of the one in Fredericksburg that offers samples of the jellies, mustards, hot sauces and butters. One big difference is Taste Buds offers wines and wine tasting. I don’t take advantage of that today, but did try some strawberry preserves, cobbler fillings, and a relish. There is also a good number of hot sauces.. . I’m sure guaranteed to put a burn on the taste buds. You can always tell by the names and the artwork on the label. Ha! Everything I tasted was really good and the jars were reasonably priced. Next time I will try the wines. ;)

One of those place where you get to sample a lot of different things. I tried a couple. Decided to try the ghost pepper sauce. Yes it was hot, but not deadly. I’ve had WAY hotter. Anyway, there is also the usual gift shop stuff, and wine. They do tastings and serve a cheese board if you want to hang out. Great place to stop.

I really enjoy this place. They have a large selection of salsas, jams, preserves, dressings, rubs, dips, seasoning, and wine inspired gifts. Oh and a whole selection of local wines and beers. There is always a wide variety of products to sample too. We stop in here every time we are in Wimberley to pick up something to try. We enjoy buying food products we know are made in Texas. And it’s convenient for us to purchase Texas products to give as gifts to our non Texas friends.

I stopped in because I was checking out all the little stores in the Wimberley square. Wow, was I suprised to see such a selection of Texas treats(salsas, hot sauce, jelly, butters, etc.) most of them open for tasting and if it wasn’t open they were happy to open one up for you to try. I came back later in the day for a $ 5 Texas wine tasting. Very pleased with the selection and if you buy 2 bottles of wine your tasting is free. I poo-pooped the frozen wine drinks at first but Linda gave me a taste and I was surprisingly pleased. It was yummy! And even better — you can get it in a cup to go! Score!

I LOVE everything about this place. We randomly stopped in to use their bathroom(thank you by the way), only to discover WINEMARGARITAS. In case your wondering how these taste, it’s like heaven in your mouth. Stop what you’re doing and drive there and drink one, two, five, whatever. Also, their product line is so extensive and impressive that I could have easily purchased one of every product in there. Easily. Actually, I intend to do that still. How do I know they are good? FREE samples of everything. Yea, you could make an afternoon of just sampling. One more thing, I was pleasantly surprised by the prices of their products as well. Not what I’m used to from small town boutiques.

If you are headed in any direction that is remotely close to Wimberly, Taste Buds is worth every second and penny that you will spend there. It is charming, well kept and the service is outstanding! My husband is a «meat and potatoes» type whiskey drinker — never willing to even taste or smell wine; HOWEVER, the sweet young lady behind the bar was actually able to identify a wine that he admitted was«tolerable» based on the things he told her. He didn’t care to expand his wine horizons any further but was very satisfied by the Alamo Beer that he chose from the cooler. The sample options are endless, the pricing is more than reasonable and we will definitely be returning.(The fact that they carry my favorite Texas brand, Texas Star Winery, doesn’t hurt either!)

They say everything is bigger in Texas and judging by the cheese plate we were served here, they are right! What a great store this is. Plenty of gourmet foods and Texas wines of all varieties. To be honest, I didn’t expect to like Texas wines, but they were offering a tasting so we decided to give them a try. The host asked us what types of wines we enjoyed and offered tastings of similar Texas wines. The reds she offered were quite good. We were pleasantly surprised and decided to purchase a bottle and share a cheese plate. Taste Buds offers a variety of cheeses — we selected smoked gouda, smoked swiss, jalapeño jack and Tillamook cheddar. They were all so creamy and delicious. The portion was huge and served with crackers and grapes so we had plenty to take back to the cabin for the next day. The chocolate covered pecans are a must try — they are delicious! There are a variety of products in the store — salsas, mustards, jams, honey butters, sauces — all are open to taste. I especially enjoyed the ghost pepper salsa although my husband thought that was a bit too hot. The honey butters were delicious too and what a variety of flavors! The staff here was wonderful — super friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Taste Buds also offers frosty wine beverages which we did not try this time. You can even take your wine to go and wander the streets of Wimberley as you sip. I hope we have the opportunity to come back to this great store and delightful town someday!

LOVE this place! You can sample almost everything even the wine. If you’re a local or visiting a while you can get a reusable cup for their frozen bellinis and margaritas. In Wimberley, you can have open alcohol containers in the street. Check out their fridge case, they have some items you wouldn’t expect like cheese! I’m a local and I always take visitors here. I buy the Fredricksburg South Texas bbq sauce on a regular basis.

A great family-owned store in Wimberley! They have got tons of Texas and local products. Nearly every salsa you can think of, pickled anything, jams, jellies, coffee, beer, wine and on and on and on. The best part? You can sample EVERYTHING, even the wine ! The super friendly and helpful staff make this an all around fun place to shop.

What a fun and delightful new store. You can sample from a variety of Texas made salsas, pickled items(I especially loved the Wicked Peppers), olives, jellies, honey butters, crackers, beef jerky, and even coffee. If you want to try something not already open, the friendly and enthusiastic staff are more than willing to open it up for you to sample. Plus, they have a variety of fun ways to create your own gift baskets or containers, which they will gladly ship for you. You won’t be able to leave here without at least one purchase!
