This is the perfect spot to stay to be close to everything in Wimberley! Nancy was the sweetest hostess. I booked this very last minute for Labor day weekend and was happy that my other plans fell through. We had access to her inflatable boat that we used for a twilight ride in the water. We enjoyed the balcony and the gazebo to enjoy the music a few doors down along with the peace and quiet in general. Everything you need is right there. We enjoyed the muffins and other snacks that she left for us. It was the perfect ending to my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and I look forward to staying again.

This one room cottage is just about as perfect as you can get when you just want to take a weekend away. The owner, Nancy, also own/works in the shop downstairs. She made making a reservation a snap(you have to call), and check in and out was seamless. Being right on the main square, it’s convenient to EVERYTHING in Wimberley. We parked our car on Thursday, and didn’t touch it again until we left on Saturday(we are big walkers, though. But seriously, this is as convenient as it gets.) The cottage has easy access to food, art, shops, and there is a trail that starts just about 2 doors down and will take you straight to Wimberley’s famous Blue Hole swimming area(just about a mile walk down an easy trail.) The cottage is quaint, cute, and cozy. The AC works well(a huge plus in summer!). The bed is very comfortable. The kitchenette isn’t going to be enough to cook up anything crazy, but you can bring home leftovers, store them, and heat them the next day. There is a little balcony that overlooks Cypress Creek that’s just lovely, and a gazebo in the back area where you can sit and enjoy the fantastic live music that Ino’z pub serves up next door. I went for a dip in Cypress Creek, a creek where the water is so clear that you really have no idea just how deep it is until you realize that you can’t touch the bottom. Perfect for a hot summer’s day! Also, there was a little inflatable boat that we took up and down the creek a couple of times just for kicks. We really enjoyed our 2 night getaway from the hubbub of the city to sleepy little Wimberley, and are eternally grateful for a nice and quiet place to stay that was so convenient!
