Really cool porch swing out front, loved the hand-made log cabin.

Neat place with lots of cool items to peruse. Friendly and helpful staff. I like the kitsch here – more unique items than some of the other spots. Things are in great shape too! Definitely a fun spot to shop at in Wimberley!

If you like taking walks down Memory Lane, please stop in Chick A Dee. Set in an adorable cottage on Wimberley Square, I found wonderful collectible items such as books, prints, art and kitchen accessories. There are clothing pieces from the 1950s and 60s. In the back room hang numerous mink shawls, fur hats and a naval uniform. I felt like I was in my childhood home sitting in my mother’s kitchen with her utensils, dishes and aprons. The owner is a very sweet lady who is delighted to show you around and talk about the wonderful finds in her shop. I think I saw my Girl Scout uniform hanging in a closet.

This is my favorite place in Wimberley. Its the house at the end of the square. Each room is like its own little world. I ALWAYS find a purse I just have to have. My purse collection is mainly in part to Chick A Dee. I love this place. It’s not for everyone… just me! So even though you can find items no one else has for prices that almost make you cry for joy DON’T GO. The lady who owns the place is downright the nicest person in Wimberley. Who wants to deal with that?

I bought stuff here I hadn’t seen in YEARS. And I got it all on the cheap. I could literally have dug through this store for hours and hours. It’s set up like a house. Each room is decorated with the items for sale. We tried on hats, looked at books, played with toys… nostalgia overload. In the end I bought a school book which my mother had when I was very little… one of hers fromt he 50’s. AND I bought a vintage rosary that was worth WAYWAY more than the $ 15 I paid for it. I posted some photos of use shopping. I will not go to Wimberly without stopping here, EVER…
