I have worked with Rapid Tax and Accounting, Steve and Kathy Barnes for more than 10 years now to do my personal and business taxes as well as payroll for my companies. They are both excellent. We have been using Steve from Rapid Tax for at least 10 years now. He comes to our home and does our taxes if just a little bit of time. Our returns have always been accurate and he helps us to find every deduction.

I thought I’d reviewed RT&A before but I guess not?
Every year since I’ve lived in CA, I’ve used Steve at Rapid Tax to do my taxes for me. I don’t do them myself because they’re always so complicated — I have a mortgage in another state, and some other weird shit going on, so I’d rather someone else handle it who knows what they’re doing.
Steve definitely knows what he’s doing. And the best thing is, he comes to you, not the other way around. So that’s why even though my husband and I live in the Bay now, we still use Steve in Sacramento for our yearly returns. We come to Sac to visit friends and while we’re there, we just meet up with Steve at a Starbucks or Panera or something and bam, within 15 minutes we’re on our way and The Man is appeased for another year. When we did still live in Sac though, Steve would come to our house and take care of everything right there.
Definitely give him a call! His rates are very reasonable and actually way cheaper than H&R Block. Plus, H&R Block doesn’t come to you. Oh! And he’s available on weekends and evenings too!
