Love this place but not dog friendly At ALL, rats are fine but not dogs. been a regular for years but watched the staff walk out a pup was so sad out on the patio, would of loved to bring my dog there but obviously NOTDOGFRIENDLY! It’s a bar not a restaurant. Calm down.

Nice welcoming place with NO smoking now ! Well still Allowed out in the Patio but progress ! Maybe someday they will stop that too ! Anyways I enjoy the line dancing, diverse ages, cards but karaōke is hurting since DJ is often wasted more than customers. They Should not allow workers to drink on the job. But it is Ft Liquordale.

Since my last review the owner has renovated several areas and what an improvement. We still frequent this place at least several times a week. The drinks are inexpensive, the staff is off the chart friendly — and you can’t beat having a big outdoor bar in the winter — in FLORIDA! Lots of tourists during ‘season’ but a huge following of locals frequent this establishment. Sunday afternoons are jam-packed. One Sunday a month, Lady Fancy and Co. perform their Gospel Jubilee which packs the house. You will find people of all ages — non pretentious environment where everyone seems to hang out and enjoy one another.

Me and my girlfriend were visiting from Indiana and we had complications with our hotel so we didn’t get settled until late on a sunday. We decided to go here and LOVED it. Everyone was so friendly and there was karaōke going on. The bartender was attentive and friendly. It wasn’t crowded at that time and there were patrons that took time to talk to us and welcome us to Florida. If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely visit again! Also added bonus, we had opened a tab and at the end of our night were pleasantly surprised at our bi! Great prices!

We were visiting the area and used ‘google’ to find line dancing in the area. This was the closest place so we went. We had soooo much fun. It was a Wed night. Plenty of people but not over crowded. There was a line dance lesson going on when we got there so I jumped in right away. Duwaine was the teacher & nice job teaching. I was paying so much attention to the dance steps I was learning that I didn’t realize that I was one of the few women in the place. I was having fun dancing with a bunch of super nice guys for about ½ an hour before I realized we were in a gay bar(that wasn’t our goal). Any place with good music, good dancing, and good people is a place I want to be. We were welcomed with open arms(literally). We were the tall couple. Thank you all for being so kind & gracious. We want to get back there!

Let’s just say when I’m 96 I’m glad I have a place to hang. And good for the mature crowd who does get out. It just wasn’t for me and gurl ain’t no spring chicken. Went with a group for Sunday tea and just wasn’t what I expected. Try Hunters for plenty of hot bears and daddies. The cowboy theme just seems to be out right now. I’m a bitch. Sue me.

We love this place! We went on a Thursday night for a couples lesson and had a blast! Normally you get once lesson and then it’s open dancing. At scandals, Lee taught three different styles of couple dances throughout the night, which made it super fun. It was a great way to keep everyone involved! The bartenders were super friendly and attentive. We were told that Wednesday night is also an awesome night for dancing! Can’t wait to check it out!

Awesome place! Bar staff is amazing! Could not ask for a better spot! Ask about the room rates on the second floor. ;-)

It’s my to go place especially on a Sunday. Don’t be put off if you don’t like cowboy bars as this saloon has something for everyone. Outside tea dance. Inside card table. Pool tables. Gospel drag shows. Karaōke from two guys on a mike. And great friendly staff. Keith in the inside bar is my favorite constantly good service from him

DReadful. My wofe and I were visiting family who insisted we visit their favorite hangout. They are an older gay couple so we figured we’d go. Unwelcoming, unfriendly downright rude verging on hostile. Not a place we will ever revisit.

Scandals is known for their country music and dancing. However if you’re not into that scene, they have a large patio bar out back. That area has plenty of seating and tables. Their happy hour prices are great. They don’t use the plastic chips that other bars use. They simply cut the price of the drinks. They also have karaōke and a tea dance.

«Let’s go to Ssssscandalsss!», said he, hissing his ‘S’s. My answer was a sing-songy«Yessssss!» Scandals is always busy, but whenever I go there, I go for late night drinks and karaōke. There’s not really that much to say, I guess. Drinks are cheap, but service is slow. However, when you’re not in a hurry to get even more drunk than you already are, what the heck! They have a popcorn machine with free, get-it-yourself pop corn that tastes like gourmet snacks when you’re drinking and therefore crazy-hungry. LOL! Karaōke list on Sundays closes at midnight. There are a few parking spots right in front, but if their lot is full, you are certain to find a spot at the huge lot across the street.

Scandals Saloon(it is Scandals Saloon, not Scandals Bar), which is gay bar located on NE6th Avenue just as you turn off Oakland. It’s located in the same location as was Elements. Unilocal has a listing for«Scandals Bar» but that at is noted at 205 East Oakland Park Boulevard, which was their previous address. Scandals is a big place. Inside bar, outside patio bar, pool room, and a large out back fenced in patio. Plenty of room, lots of seating and they need it as the place tends to be very popular on weekend nights and with group functions during the week like that of the Prime Timers who hold occasional«mixers» and various country western crowd followings. Indeed, Scandals is generally known as the gay country western bar of Fort Lauderdale, so you can expect to see some cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and blue jeans with a blue collar type of gay following. What you won’t see are a lot of twinks or raver boys and chances are you won’t be listening to all that much disco or club rehash music. Most nights are themed, such as Wednesday as «Southern Country» where you get to sort of click your heels to some DJ tunes, pool table tournaments are generally on Wednesday, some more country DJ stuff on Friday and Saturdays with a beer bust and rather big happy hour on Sunday. Oh, and there is always free popcorn. On of the nice features of Scandals is that it is located directly across from the giant parking lot of the failing K-Mart Store, so there never seems to be any problem parking. Basically, the drinks are good, very reasonably priced, a fun crowd and a popular place which makes me a fan, particularly with the free parking of which you will find little of along the gay Drive section of Wilton Manor. As for food, the situation is at best iffy, real iffy, so iffy in fact that they don’t even bother to mention it in any of their ads. As of this writing, however, they do have a limited starting around 5:30 pm, or thereafter, consisting of the usual bar food, but for the moment with a rather inventive cook, Jamie. If he happens to be there and making them, be sure to try one of his«berry rolls.» I did, and found it to be superb. It was certainly an unexpected treat to find something of unique quality amongst the usual crappy food that the grungier or blue Lauderdale bar scene is so well known for. So, for the ups, it’s plenty of free parking, reasonably priced drinks and a fun crowd. As for the downs, food is good but getting it or them having anything is chancy, at best.
