The Kitchen At Middleground Farms

Best date night ever!!! Chef Jessica is awesome and did a fabulous job teaching, preparing and making us feel like it was our kitchen. Thank you!!! We will be back again and again!!!

Looking for a great way to spend an evening with that special person? Maybe a way to relax with friends and family? Then you need to check out this amazing cooking school. Located on a 17 acre hobby farm right outside of Portland, The Kitchen at Middleground Farms is a beautifully designed kitchen inside a refurbished barn. You can’t get any cuter or top notch than this.
Chef Jessica Hansen offers a a variety of farm to table classes that are perfect for the beginning chef, one that wants to hone their skills or someone looking into a new hobby such as cheese making.
Classes are fun, interactive, hands on and you will for sure leave with not only a full belly but some new recipes and friends.

I took a class called «Puttin’ Up the Harvest» with Chef Jessica Hansen. The class was very informative and Jessica’s teaching skills are wonderful. We prepared oven-​dried tomatoes, dehydrated tomatoes, sauce tomatoes and salsa. All were made using fresh, locally grown produce (much of which comes directly from Jessica’s farm).
If this wasn’t enough, Jessica serves us a delicious lunch complete with a fresh mozzarella she made while her students worked on their various tasks. So, we also got a bonus cheese-​making course. Thank you, Jessica. I will certainly return to Middleground Farms in the near future!
