Stelcor Energy

We were contacted by Stelcor in Sept and signed up. We signed the contract in Oct 2014. We were told our install would be in Jan 2015. Fallon was great and pushed very hard to get the paperwork signed.
She now won’t return calls or emails. Terry, the Project Manager was layed off and apparently Stelcor has pulled out of Portland.
We have everything but our panels installed. We were told for 2 months they were on back order. We’re now making payments on an incomplete system.
We’ve filed complaints with the BBB and the Oregon Attorney General. Don’t waste your money!!!

Getting Solar Panels perhaps was the farthest thing from my mind. I am open minded and when I listening I was so impressed that I bought last June, 2014. Stelcore was efficient, helpful, thorough and the process was pretty amazing. It is tax time and I am applying for my solar rebate from the State and Federal Gove and that with the energy incentive reduced my out of pocket cost from almost $ 22, 000 to under $ 4000. With what I save monthly on electric, this has been a superb investment. It also increased the value of my home by about $ 8000. There were no hidden anythings! I also feel so good to do my part in conserving energy. Overall an amazing experience.

From beginning to end Fallon did a great job explaining the process and how long it would take. The price we were quoted was the price we paid. The install went off without a hitch. They cleaned up after themselves and did a very professional install, inside and out. I can’t say enough good things about how good the communication was at every level, keeping me informed of what was going to happen, and when. Can’t wait to get our first few PGE bills to see how much money we are going to save. Thanks Stelcor for a job well done.

We had a great experience with Stelcor. The buying options are straightforward. Stelcor uses two panel brands and 1 inverter brand. We were given detailed information about the costs and benefits for each option. In order to help us decide on the best fit for our needs, we received 3 different proposals for each brand with all the detailed numbers run in a proposal document. The loan options were explained clearly, and we were given a good comparison to show how the monthly payment would affect our current electric bill. While our costs will go up nominally in the first five years, after that initial period we will never have to pay for electricity again.
We were initially a little reticent to change the aesthetics of our house by adding panels to the roof. But the panels have a low profile and really do not disrupt the beauty of the house.
Every person we interacted with at Stelcor was courteous, efficient, and professional. The installers did a great job quickly and we knew our home was in good hands.
From the time we were introduced to our buying options to the close-​out meeting, we always felt that Stelcor was on top of all the details.
The whole process does not happen overnight — it takes time for Stelcor to apply for permits, get permission from the HOA, schedule installation, and wait for inspection. However, at each step of the way we received clear communication from Stelcor and always knew what to expect next.
We are a month into owning our new solar system and we are very happy. We can monitor the energy we are producing, feel like we are more aware of our energy usage, and feel confident about the future of our system based on Stelcor’s terrific 25 year warranty.

We had our system installed July 2014. The installation crew was very knowledgeable and professional. Stelcor Energy made it easy to go solar by offering no money down financing. We wanted to own our system vs. leasing or PPA so that we could take advantage of the tax credits and incentives. The incentives covered about 80% of our system cost! Our first electric bill was $ 30 and we are looking forward to 30 plus years of savings! Thank you Stelcor Energy!
