Been here a few times but this is my first review. The space itself is well done, open and a lot of fun. The pizzas are the highlight and everything is made in the wood fired oven. The beers are great and they serve local wines which is a plus. Don’t be afraid to try the burgers as they are excellent too. I recommend going at slightly off times to ensure a table as it can get busy and cramped during peak hours.

Came in on a Friday afternoon and the place wasn’t busy at all. Really interesting layout with the open kitchen and brick oven for pizza, and the bar looks over the brewery. Ordered flights and all of the beers were great! Ordered a pepperoni pizza as well, sauce needed a little more flavor but the dough and cooking was perfect! Staff was pretty dull and non attentive for us having sat at the bar. Would probably come back if we were in the area but won’t drive that far just for their beer and food.

This is a cute place that is so different than anything else. If you are into local brews of beer this is the place to go! We had to wait like 30 minutes to get a table, but the food was so worth it. We went on a Tuesday for their half price pizzas. They were thin and crispy. They have so many tasty pizzas to choose from. Each one of the people I went with got a pizza they are about 8 slices so not so large but size doesn’t always matter. The Greek pizza is amazing and packed with so much flavor. The banana pepper pizza has a real kick to it, but not overly spicy. The pepperoni and cheese pizza was a little greasy, but still oozed with cheese. The loaded potato pizza was a heavier pizza. I am not a big beer drinker but I was told they were awesome brews. I would definitely go back to try other food and more pizza.

Love, love, love Woodcock Brothers! I’ve been here twice now, and each time enjoyed their wood fired pizzas along with their delicious brews. The building was apparently an old storage space, which the owners completely transformed into a trendy, industrial space. The exposed ceilings, and rustic wood accompanied by old pulley systems and modern metals make the space super cool. The servers are great here as well– they recently implemented a policy in which wine tours could not stop in after 3PM, so that patrons enjoying their dinner would not be disturbed(a problem they apparently were dealing with quite frequently). This past time we were able to sit outside on their patio, which faces the parking lot(not the most ideal view, but the warm night made it nice to be outside). I had their Amber Ale, and their Porter– which were both full of flavor. If you haven’t been here before, I definitely recommend a flight, so that you can sample all of the beers they have on tap! Since seating is fairly limited(especially on a weekend), I would encourage patience, as there may not be a table immediately available. We stood at the bar and enjoyed a beer and shared a pizza while waiting for our table to be ready, and it was great! Behind the bar there’s a beautiful view of the brewing room. Highly recommend the beautiful, scenic drive over to Wilson, to enjoy a comfortable, laid-back meal at Woodcock Brothers!

The craft beers on tap are excellent with good variety. The wood fired pizzas and the spent grain pretzels are great.

The Thursday lunch special Reuben Skillet Sandwich was awesome and very unique. Chunks of corned beef on a black rye in a skillet, topped with sour kraut and cheeses. You ate with a fork… I’m a spoiled Texan and used to my beverage topped quickly, thus only the four stars, but definitely a place not to miss.

Strong beer selection, I really liked the Porter as well as the Black IPA. We stopped in on Half priced pizza day and both the pizza that I, as well as my brother ordered were excellent. They did a phenomenal job with the interior of the place, we will be back.

Absolutely one of the best breweries I have ever been to. The beer is great, not good but great!!! Every beer is always well balanced and flavorful. The food is to die for, the best wood fire roasted wings anywhere and pizzas are fantastic I highly recommend the loaded backed potato pizza! The staff is friendly the owners make themselves known and come around and say hi. The atmosphere and ambiance is something to experience. The rustic look and an awesome view of the brewery is so badass! Just go and enjoy yourself!

Came in here on july 122015 the staff is very friendly. I love how the bar provides different tastings. I also ordered a beef on weck pizza was to die for. I would highly recommend taking the drive out here to have a couple drinks and eat.

Just okay. It was a nice ride out on the motorcycle, and a very nice space but nothing we would go back for. The beer was just okay. We also ordered the pretzel bits. They were good, but they served them with just generic mustard and ranch! Really!!! We have gone to ALOT of breweries and pretzels are always on the menu, but almost all of them have a grainy kind of mustard and usually some sort of cheese sauce. We would maybe stop by for a beer if ever in the area again, but would not make a special trip out there.

I was right — the pizza is the way to go at this place! I tried the stuffed pepper pizza and the margherita. They were both amazing. They were crispy yet doughy at the same time. I don’t understand how but it was the best ratio of crispy vs doughy on a pizza I’ve ever had.

We visited here last Feb. coming back from Niagara Falls. We enjoyed the tasting flight, beers were good. Nothing crazy but overall good solid beers. The service was VERY good, we went during a slow Sunday afternoon(I believe it was the Super Bowl) and sat at the bar. Our bartender was lovely and very personable, she was very nice to talk to. I wish I can remember her name but she was very pretty with short blonde hair. I ordered the stuffed banana peppers and they were very rich so I could only eat half but gladly took the rest to go to enjoy in our hotel later that night. My boyfriend had poutine and was very pleased. Over all a very nice experience with cool ambiance.

We did not have any of the house brewed beers well we were here, so I can’t attest so how good or bad they are. We did enjoy your pizza and wings overall. The wings were decent, leaving a little bit to be desired. This is Western New York, chicken wing Mecca after all, so of course standards will be high. That being said, they were decent wings and a nice change of pace. We all really enjoyed our pizzas and if we were in the area again we would order some again. Our service was a little slow and lacking charm. Overall if you’re in the area grab a couple of beers and the pizza, I’m sure the average person won’t regret it.

LOVE this place and they have come a long way(with their beer). It’s beautiful inside. Some nights you’ll find good music(the last time I went a band called Timbre Land Whiskey Band was playing and they were awesome). Much of the food is cooked in stone ovens and although it’s a bit pricey, it’s a good night out in Niagara County. I love their Burgers and their pizza is comparable to some other stone/wood fired pizza places around. Their Black IPA, their XPA and Winter beers are all amazing. I simply love this place. Got Wood? Indeed.

We made the trip out to Wilson on a Thursday night to try Woodcock Brothers Brewery. My girlfriend and I had never been there, but our two hosts had. The building is an old cold storage warehouse, and the first thing you notice is a large, L-shaped bar. From the bar, patrons can look down into the brewery itself. There are several giant brew kettles, which are named after the Seven Dwarves. Our group of four was immediately seated. However, we waited a while for our server to come over, which was odd as the place wasn’t overly busy. The menu is concise but features enough variety to appeal to most bar-goers: wings, burgers, an array of appetizers(I want to go back to try the poutine and the $ 22 charcuterie board), and daily specials. However, other than the beer, the place is known for its wood-fired pizzas. They have some interesting options(beef on weck pizza), and they are all reasonably priced at $ 12-$ 14. My girlfriend and I settled on the Stuffed Pepper, while the couple we were with had the standard cheese-and-pepperoni. The pizza was terrific. Despite a warning on the menu, the stuffed peppers weren’t overly spicy in the least. WBBC has six different locally-brewed selections. I had the Amber Ale, Niagara Lager, and the 7.2% ABV seasonal Stiff Mitten Spiced Winter Ale. All were enjoyable, and I was certainly feeling good after some excellent pizza and a few pints. The pizza and beer were great, but the service was rather slow. About halfway through our meal, we actually had to go the bar to get refills on our beverages because it had been so long since our server had made her way over to our table. Despite the lackluster service, the pizza and beer make Woodcock Brothers well worth checking out. I will definitely go back to try more of the menu and see if the service improves.

We came last night on an impromptu date night. It was packed. Front house management offered us a menu and even volunteered to get a bartender for us while we waited for seats to open at the bar. She was also quick to alert us once they did instead of being dismissive and inattentive. That right there made a good impression. I’m not a big beer drinker but I felt like I’d be remiss if I didn’t try one of their beers, which you can actually watch being brewed. They offer a flight of 6 for $ 10, or you can get an individual 6 oz taster for $ 2. I tried the Niagara. It was good, for beer. They also carry a lot of local wines, with a good variety of whites and reds, ranging from dry to sweet. The average price was $ 5 for a glass, or $ 15 for a bottle. Pretty close to the actual bottle prices in my experience so no big markups like I’d otherwise expect from a restaurant. Maybe it’s a west coast vs. east coast thing. Still impressed. On to the food. They specialize in wood fire pizzas. Just as you can watch the beer brewing process, you can watch them prep your food. Not only is it interesting, but you can’t help but feel at ease seeing what’s going into your food and how it’s prepared. Now here’s the best part: they make loaded potato pizza. I first tried this strange dish at a small pizza buffet place in Idaho and found it surprisingly tasty so I was delighted to see it here. And it’s good. Really good. My husband even liked it. He was also partial to their ranch dressing(we’re weird about condiments.) On Tuesdays, pizzas are half off. Even the full price isn’t bad when you consider how much regular greasy pizza costs in this region.

Was up doing some apple picking at Blackman Farms and made sure to stop at the Woodcock Brothers brewery afterwards, as I am hardly up here and have been meaning to check it out. We got there a little after 1pm and luckily we had some apples at the farm to hold us off as we had to wait about 25 – 30 minutes for a seat. The inside of the place is big with a nice cross motif of exposed brick, industrial feel, with clean modern steel accents. Although it is big, it is mainly setup for a bar crowd, as most of the seating is either at the bar or pub tables. Not great when you have little kids hence the long wait for a regular table. While waiting I did try to have the Belgian IPA which was out(maybe erase it off the chalkboard then?), so I settled on the Black IPA which was a delicious blend of hops and roast malts. I finished that one and had a sample taste of their regular IPA next, glad I only got the sample as I was completely unimpressed with it, too sweet and not enough hops at all to balance that. Settled on the Porter instead which was very good. Creamy smooth roast malt flavor and a nice hop balance to this one. Finally got seated and ordered the pretzels along with two pizza’s, the Greek and Beef on Weck. The pretzels were different as they were made with the spent grains, pretty soft and doughy, I liked them and think they are an excellent accompaniment to a beer. Pizzas came out relatively quickly and were both tasty. The Greek has some nice fresh veggies on it, and the Beef on Weck was delicious with some creamy horseradish as the sauce, caraway and tasty steak. Other than the wait for the seat, we had no issues with service, they were attentive and had us in and out once we were actually seated. My only suggestion would be to maybe get some more regular tables for dining vs. the many pub tables.

Worth $ 10 just to sit in here and stare at the walls with a beer. It truly is stunning. Beer: It’s pretty good. Food: It’s pretty bad… the ideas seem really great but the execution is lacking. I ordered a caprese salad and got a small plate of sliced tomato and cheese. It was weird at best. The time before I got the apple walnut salad. It was a giant bowl of granny apples, cheese, and walnuts. It tasted good but there’s only so much apple one person can eat… i guess I expected a leaf of sorts given the description. I will get the pizza next time. It seems like the thing they do well and it’s rude to criticize on salads alone. Actually, who am I? Why have I been ordering so many salads at this place?! Service: Understaffed. The service was very friendly and as attentive as could have been given the 2 servers and maybe 10 tables(including 2 big groups). It’s a small town, I don’t expect 5 servers running around on a Wednesday night, not a big deal for us. All in all, I’ll be back. Mostly because I go to Wilson often and there’s um… not like a whole ton of other options.
