A very good find especially if you are looking for craft jewelry and thinking about Christmas shopping which is just around the corner. There are possibly 50 vendors displaying there with a wide range of products, local produce, antiques and assorted brick-a-brack. Several people were selling jewelry only one lady, who designs makes and sells her own creations, was by far the most interesting. Her style, color and creative talents, I felt, were very unique, I spent some time in her booth talking and looking at her work as she explained the various stories behind the pieces she had made. Most of her work retails for around $ 20 with some pieces at $ 15 or slightly less. Not only was her talent on display, her warm vibrant personality made each potential customer feel quite at ease and willing to linger as she spoke about her work. Her brother-in law had the booth next to her, he was selling hand made genuine leather hand bags and wallets at a fraction of the cost you would expect to pay at any good retail store. The Wilmington Market is open in May until early October and is worth a trip especially if you wish to combine that with some Autumn foliage leaf peeping from late September until they close.
