Trader Joe’s

What can I say? I love TJs so much. Especially when their new newsletters come out with their new items and they have large colorful signs in store in the aisles labeling the item as «newsletter item» so its easy to find them.
Current fave: mango and cream ice cream with warm mango pies or topped with their mango joe joes. Yum!

I needed a dozen large orchids (at reasonable prices) for centerpieces for an event. Cherie went out of her way to help me: She special ordered a case of them for me… then 4 days later brought them out, unpacked them (they were perfect), repacked them back in the transport box, brought them out to the car, helped me get them into the car (when the box wouldn’t fit) and even followed up with the supplier when I had a question. Fantastic effort.

My favorite place to grocery shop. The employees are so friendly and willing to help with anything you might need.

They are very friendly and professional. They make small talk, say hello, are quick, always clean, well stocked, and make you happy you came.

I have shopped weekly at TDs up north and down south. Consistent inventory with some fun new things added regularly. I rarely buy produce there though as it is not fresh enough for my taste. The staff in every store are terrific!

I love, love, love Trader Joes in Delaware. This location offers lots of parking and so many others stores I like to shop at within walking distance. I always go in with a list to stay focus otherwise I will easily get distracted and lose my mind. My favs are the Parmesan Crusted Chicken Poppers, New England Clam Chowder Soup, Barbecue Chicken Pizza, Pretzel Bagels, Facial Spa Cleanser & Astringent Pads, Chocolate Covered Cocunut Almonds and Pink Lemonade. The staff are Super helpful and extremely nice. You will not be disappointed by both this location or the Amazing selection that Trader Joes offers!!!

Trader joes is our go-​to grocery spot, even though we live about 20 minutes away; so worth the drive! This particular TJ’s is great! Try to avoid it on Sunday’s, given that that’s the busiest day and is pretty crammed. The food is always fresh and you really can’t beat the prices. You get so much high quality food for such a steal. Their employees is what puts this review at 5 stars, they have such great personalities and are always willing to drop what they are doing to help. If you bring your own reusable bags, you can fill out a raffle to win a bag full of goodies. I actually won this last month and can attest that the bag of stuff was AWESOME! All things you probably already buy, plus other chocolates and snacks that you’ll love.

My main source of food in life! I love Trader Joes!
Only wish they had the beer and wine section. Damn DE laws against having alcohol in grocery stores =(

Unfortunately Trader Joes in Delaware do not carry beer, wine or spirits. TJs is known Internationally for quality Napa Valley wines under the Charles Shaw brand, aka 2 buck Chuck, unfortunately the lowest price today is $ 2.49 in CA and $ 2.99 elsewhere. Ask for 3 buck Chuck instead — still a bargain for a $ 10 value bottle of wine!
In addition TJs is also known for their selection and variety of fresh, frozen and packaged products, not much in gluten free yet, but I’m hoping! Someday. ..

This is my absolute favorite place to shop, and I really hate to buy groceries. The staff is always smiling and helpful, and the store is clean and bright. They have a fantastic selection of high quality food for not much money.
I love the fact that they offer things that you can’t always find in regular grocery stores such as interesting kinds of frozen vegetables, mochi ice cream, and seasonal stuff like pumpkin everything.
The free coffee is also a plus!

Always exceptional! Always a peaceful, inclusive atmosphere! I’ve been going to this location for years now, and I have NEVER been disappointed.

It’s a good Trader Joe’s. Has a good selection of cheeses and frozen foods that we like. But it can get crowded and the parking lot is a bit tricky. So you may want to go during week days if possible because weekends are a nightmare.

One thing I love about Trader Joes is that everyone is very friendly. I vaguely remember a few experiences with less than friendly staff (rare) or customers (just oblivious), but by far the greatest feeling I have when I come here is that there is hope for mankind — peace, love, and all that. I rated it down a star because it’s frequently crowded when I go, and since I live so far away, I can only go there on the weekend. That’s not their fault, but it does take away from the shopping experience. However, to its credit, despite the crowds, customers say «excuse me» and «thank you» — with a smile even! — which makes coming there worthwhile. Oh, and they have good food, too.

Love it. Love the variety and new products always making way on to the shelves. Great vegetarian options too. Great way to try different types of foods without too much commitment. Friendly and helpful staff. The parking situation is a problem… Very small area and this place is always packed.

I asked if they had baking powder other than the double acting. The woman looked at me as if waht are you talking about there is only one type. I said do you have regular? She didn’t even bother to take me over to the section or ask someone. It is going to be difficult to shop here again. Never treated like this at this location. Maybe things are changing.

This particular Trader Joe’s is located right next to my favorite Hair Cuttery location so every couple weeks and I go big grocery shopping (to mention that the Whole Foods Market is right down the 202) and get my hair cut.
Trader Joe’s is famous for their high quality foods that include everything from pastries to poultry. And this location isn’t not an exception to the brand. No even once I have encountered any produce, poultry or fruit that’s rotten, expired or just little out of date. The crew and the management definitely know how to run this store. At this busy location, no matter how crowded it is on the weekends and some weekdays, all the locals know what I am talking about it tho, the crew member always seem to keep the lines moving. And not to mention the ones that work on the floor, always helpful and willing to go an extra mile for the customer, even tho I don’t normally need any help finding the right product (been shopping at TJ’s for way too long) I have seen the staff go above and beyond for their customers.
My favorite section is the organic produce. TJ’s offered a quite a big choice of organic fruits and vegetables at the very low prices, way cheaper than the Whole Foods. But the certain things like tomatoes I would go get at WFM in Glen Mills.
Their section of high quality fair trade personal hygiene items like shampoos, soaps, lotions is relatively small but I’ve seen it expand over the last couple years, so more to com.
My other favorite thing about Trader Joe’s is that they have an abundance of fresh flowers that actually last over a week for a very low price.

Love love love Trader Joes! Your getting quality food, at walmart prices. Thats really the best way to sum it up. They sell products you will only find there. Im talking cereals, soups, hummus, frozen pizzas ($ 4.49 for an Organic pizza that feeds 2 easily? WHAT!!!). The list goes on.
The service? Its what makes this place what it is. The absolute friendliest people imaginable. You just cant explain it. Its like they are you’re best friends… that you’ve never met.
Oh how bad I wanted to give Joe’s 5 stars, so so bad. As good as their prices are on practically everything, their steaks (Im a huge steak lover), ehhhhhh, come on Joe’s, drop that price! I even splurged once to see if its worth the price per pound, and while it was good, it wasnt great. At that price, Ill drive 2 miles down the road to Whole Foods. But seriously, this is my lone negative with this place.
In conclusion, if you want sensational customer service, and quality food at competitive costs, come to Joe’s!

Trader Joe’s has one of the best cheese selections in Delaware! My family is a huge fan of the English Cheddar Italian Truffle cheese. The fruit is always fresh, and the flower selection on point!!! If you go do try the samples they offer! Yummy!

I am so grateful for this branch of Trader Joe’s. I grew up in a household always stocked with snacks, cereals, breads, sauces, and you name its from TJs. So not having one nearby would really be a burden on me. Imagine having to buy my bread from an Acme? Ugh, I would rather not. I love the whole and natural ingredients at a great price. You really can’t beat it.
That being said, all TJ locations I have been to have good to great customer service, and this location is no exception. When I have inquired about sold out or missing items I have received apologies in return and also told I can call the store before driving in to see if they have particular items in stock. Although they very rarely sell out of items and are usually very well stocked.
Saddest part is no wine section. Can you please please please sell your wonderful wines?
