The Shop is the best barber shop in town. I’ve been going to John for over a year now, and I’ve been pleased with my haircut every time. I would recommend The Shop to anyone looking for a barber shop in Wilmington.

Highly disappointed. When in for a haircut the other day and the barber was all types of messed up. He took my sideburns up to high and almost took them completely off, cut the top too short and was repeatedly talking to his self… Terrible experience. Never going back and wouldn’t recommend

Came in today with out an appointment. I totally expected every one of these five star reviews to be about my barber, Nick. How many perfect barbers can there be? Apparently a bunch. Perfect hair cut, very reasonable price, great guy. I can’t say more about this place. (Well I can, but I won’t)
Will be coming here again.

I live in SC but am in Wilmington for 2 months in the Fall and 2 in Spring for work. My hair grows fast and I can’t wait until I go home for a hair cut so needed to find a barber, not a salon or a spa but a true barber shop for cuts while I’m in town. It took a while and several shops but finally found the one… THE Shop.
This place is perfect. An updated take on a traditional barber shop. Very cool vibe. But best of all, I received the best cut I’ve had in years. Georgie, the owner, cut my hair and was not only a talented barber but a really nice guy.
Highly recommend The Shop. Great cut, great price, great place.

I’m new the barber world, and to be quite honest, I don’t know why it took me this long. I found The Shop online and went to them based off reviews and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The owner is a great guy and he brings in class acts to cut hair, you’ll never have to worry about feeling uncomfortable. I’m someone who cares a lot about my hair and I immediately trusted the barbers in there solely based off pictures of their work. For what you’re getting (with the attention to detail, and I mean detail), you can’t beat the price.
You will not leave disappointed. Not to mention it’s in a prime spot in downtown Wilmington in the heart of the business district.

George is the man! It’s a laid back place that is clean and reasonably priced ($ 20). I have been a customer for years. There is always a movie playing and it’s by appointment only, so call ahead.
Don’t trust any barber for your shape up, go to the best, The Shop.

Great haircut. Cool barbershop with movies playing on flatscreens throughout. The compressed air is a great touch to keep you clean after the cut.
They take credit cards too, which is huge.

There are two things I look for in a barber: first, I want an inexpensive haircut. Second, I want my hair cut. No slightly longer hairs around my ears, nothing left on my neckline, and no random longer hairs on my head.
I go to the Shop because I get a great haircut here for $ 20. I don’t know of a cheaper place in downtown Wilmington, and I don’t know anywhere that will give you a cut with as much attention to detail.
The Shop has a very cool interior. There is always a movie playing. The last two times I went in Bad Boys 2 and Ali were playing. There are flat screen TVs within view no matter where you are. The volume is low, but audible if you want to watch. The shop seems brand new, and is immaculately clean. Other than that, it is a typical barber shop.
