The River Room

We recently had my son’s rehearsal dinner at the River Room. Like some others have commented, it was very difficult to get in touch with anyone to confirm any details before the event. The venue itself is beautiful, on the river, beautiful view. We had a lovely time. I felt that I was overcharged for the projector and one speaker that I requested for my slideshow ($ 450, really?), but the evening was beautiful.
One word of advice. parking is absolutely horrible. Our caterers couldn’t park close to the building. Unless you have a parking app on your phone, you need to insert $ 7.00 in cash into a slot in a contraption in the parking lot. I paid my money, and I still got a parking citation. I just pray my guests didn’t have the same experience.

I was greatly disappointed with the RiverRoom. A few weeks before my wedding, Melissa left and she took her quality of professionalism with her. I could not get the new management on the phone to pay my final balance before the wedding. I left two unreturned voicemails and a message with an «intern» over the course of a week. A week before my wedding I left an urgent message inquiring about a liquor license mentioned in the contract. Again, no one called me back, ever. I was grateful to have rehearsal time, but when Tina arrived with her two tired and unsettled toddlers in a stroller, it did not go well. It was especially unpleasant because of Tina’s disinterest in my event. I felt like I was bothering her and she couldn’t care less about my wedding. Although the venue is beautiful, there were people begging my guests for money on the street/​sidewalks. Which is out of the River Room’s control yet, affected my overall experience. Therefore I would not recommend the RiverRoom to anyone and would suggest brides with any budget to look elsewhere.

I really liked the venue itself. Beautiful setting for a smaller crowd. Unfortunately, you have to pay for their DJ– which was the worst part of our wedding. He didn’t even play the songs we wanted and that we spent hours uploading to his site for us to walk back down the aisle or be announced to.
They are also pretty impossible to get in touch with so if you think you’ll have questions before your big event, this may not be the place for you. They did work with us since so many things with staff fell through right before our event so I have mixed feelings. The DJ is really just the real deal breaker for us.

Love love love this venue. My cousin just recently got married here back in August and it was just amazing! I’ve also been to some other events over the years. A wedding on the river, can you get any better? The staff was more than helpful and it was a perfect set up. I will deff be keeping this place in mind for future events! You can’t go wrong!

Perfect venue for a wedding or any event! Right on the river and just beautiful architecture. We had our wedding ceremony on the deck at sunset and the view was breathtaking. Everyone at The River Room was so great and easy to work with.
