Linda is my stylist. She is awesome! I showed her a picture of a style and she gave me great ideas for my cut. It was great she did a excellent job on my color as well. Thanks linda your the best.

I’ve visited The Headquarters 3 times for haircuts. The first 2 haircuts were great, I had them with 2 different stylists whose names I’ve forgotten (Catherine and Anabelle I think). Last week I tried a different stylist, I think her name was Linda. I have a bob haircut, and I brought a picture of a shorter cut with a tapered back. The haircut I got was horrible. She buzzed part of my head and the rest of the back was all 1 length, think 1990’s mushroom haircuts for guys. She never gave me a mirror to see the back, and I didn’t ask because I figured the cut was fine. You can imagine my horror when I got home.
I had the Great Clips on 202 fix it. A $ 14 haircut fixed a $ 34 cut! I called the salon later to offer my criticism. The manager, Cindy, wished I would return to the other stylists I had seen in earlier visits, but offered no refund of my money. I guess she didn’t offer a refund because I could have returned to have Linda fix it. Sorry to say I’ve moved on to another salon and would not recommend the Headquarters. I gave them a 2 because my first 2 haircuts were good.

My regular salon was booked so I went here as it was close and reasonably priced. Big mistake! The young girl had no clue what an aline cut was and it was cut uneven. I have one spot that flips up due to a cowlick and instead of straightening it and working with it, she literally cut it shorter. I ended up stopping her and left. Horrible haircut. It is a clean salon and the owner does great work with the autism community so that’s why it got 2 stars from me.

Aja is great for waxing! Easy and painless every time!!! I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Bought a groupon to this place based on decent reviews. The place was a bit small but clean. The receptionist and my stylist, Sierra, were friendly. Sierra got me started right away and I was out of the salon within a half hour (the groupon was for a wash, cut, and blow dry). Will be back since their prices are cheaper than other salons, especially for the type of services that I need (typically just a simple cut and style).

I didn’t realize how skeevey some, well most, of the nail salons I used to go to really are until I experienced the difference at Headquarters. Oh yeah — she’s a local (Bellefonte) girl AND speaks English! I will definitely be a return client. Thanks again!!!

I moved to Delaware just over a year ago. I did not know anyone and chose a salon that got good ratings on this site and others. While their service was OK, it was expensive. This may sound funny but I didn’t like the feel of the place… felt cold, impersonal. I happened to find a GREAT massage «The Massage Center» and the women who did my massage had a fantastic cut and color. She referred me to The Headquarters Salon. I am very very happy with the color, highlights, and cut. For someone who visited there the first time, Debbie got it right and did my hair color exactly how I requested. The best part is that the price for everything was really reasonable. The salon is clean and the receptionist was very accommodating when I called for an appointment on the same day. I’ll be returning there as a regular and would recommend the salon especially for color and highlights.

I was new to town and had gotten a recommendation for this salon from a friend. My impression was positive upon arrival– they asked if I wanted a glass of water, the receptionist was friendly and I didn’t have to wait long. When I was introduced to my stylist, she seemed knowledgeable and asked me a lot of questions about my haircare. My positive impression of the salon was shot when she started reprimanding me on the length of time since my last haircut, scoffed when I mentioned I used drugstore haircare products and laughed off my job as a «cubicle dweller». I have honestly never met a more condescending hairdresser.
The cut was expensive for what it was– a trim. They are pushy and try to sell conditioning treatments, expensive hair products, and waxing services. I felt like I was on a used car lot. They insisted on scheduling my next appointment, even when I politely declined. Their methods of securing repeat business come across as insincere and impersonal. I will not be returning.
