The Bra Shoppe

I’m so disappointed with my experience with this establishment. I wish I could give it zero stars. It started out so well and took a very disturbing turn. Initially, I purchased, in-​store, and got great service from Susan (the owner). I happily spent nearly $ 300 in my first visit.
My second visit, they didn’t have what I wanted in stock, so they were going to order it and ship it to me. I was quoted a delivery within 2 weeks. After 3 weeks, and some change, I called in to check on my order as I had not received it. Melissa (Susan’s daughter) was working that day. She was inexplicably rude to me. I was shocked. I asked where my order might be and she said, «I’ll send it out today.» I asked, simply if in the future it actually takes 3 weeks instead of 2 to get online orders. This set her off somehow. Some of her choice phrases included: «Jesus Christ! What do you want me to do?!» «I don’t have time for you right now…» and «I’m not going to apologize to you for waiting, do you want the order or not?» This is after HANGING UP ON ME several times.
I like to support local businesses. We go to a specialty shops, like this one, because we expect a certain level of service that big box stores rarely provide. Otherwise we could go online and get the products for a better price and faster delivery! This store started out wonderfully (when dealing with Susan). But when Melissa got involved, I was treated worse than I could ever imagine.
Because Melissa kept hanging up on me, I called the California location to try to get ahold of Susan. I was assured she’d call me back, and she never did. I’m hugely disappointed and all-​around dismayed by this entire exchange. You just don’t treat people this way.
**I have yet to get a refund on my order.** I’m stunned.

Just got a great fitting bra and excellent customer service! No more Internet bra shopping for me.

Melissa was very helpful and took her time with me. She is very knowledgeable. The last time I had a fitting was over 30 years ago and things have changed. I will be following up with her. Wish there were more bra shops that take the time to fit you and make sure you are comfortable in your purchase. I recommend this shop for any woman who is tired of dealing with bras that don’t fit. Great one on one service.

Ladies, you have just found your undergarment oasis! The products and service are SUPERLATIVE. They have a fantastic selection in all sizes, even those impossible to find combinations of band/​cup sizes that NO ONE carries. You will never shop in a department store and other undergarment «specialty» shop again. Better quality and better service at a comparable price point — why would you go anywhere else?!
Melissa takes the time to make sure you are properly sized and provides a true, custom fit. Best of all you don’t have to dig through racks or re-​hang a tangle of bras! Prepare to luxuriate in the sheer awesomeness of having bras found and returned for you — this is FIRST CLASS service, friends. They just don’t make stores like this anymore. Although I am no longer in Wilmington I still drive 2.5 hours to buy my bras. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my sweater kittens… LOVE!

Extremely helpful when other retail stores for bras just didn’t fit me correctly! Amazing knowledge, and easy fitting, great owner and staff, they also do alterations in their shop which is an ingenious concept, we are not all built the same! You’ll leave with a smile, feeling new again :) also it’s an affordable custom fit, nothing in this shoppe is ridiculously priced. Bands range from 30 – 54 and cups range from AA-​N.

Best bra fitting and most comfortable bras ever. Nice selection, reasonable prices. As good if not better than the famous Linda’s in New York City. I was finishing post– cancer reconstruction surgery, and Melissa was the best. She’s the third generation in her family to specialize in this business, and she knows what she is doing. So glad I found her.

This place is AMAZING! I was on vacation from DC and went in to find a bra to go under my wedding dress after the one I had bought prior was ruled out during a fitting.
I walked in the door and Jordan greeted me and was so helpful — getting me in a fitting room and measured and into ta great bra right away! The cups were slightly large in the bra so Susan altered it for me right there on site! She was so helpful, nipping and tucking the bra until it fit perfectly! I really cannot say enough about how helpful they were. Thanks ladies!

Great place for guys to get their ladies a gift certificate. Do it every birthday, Valentine’s Day, and anniversary! It’s the services that make the gift special.
