SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church

First time ever attending mass at this beautiful church ! It’s close to my house plenty of parking space and church is big inside and very beautiful! The priest was wonderful sounded very calm clear and went straight to the point the only thing that can improve is the air conditioning it was soo hot inside !

My best friend had the most beautiful wedding here. Just a bit of advice: the floor is a bit slippery so for you maids, make sure you have non slippery bottoms on those heels!

So far I have nothing I can say I don’t like about this church minus it’s not closer or IM not closer to it. The office staff is amazing! Special thanks to Soledad! Getting married here and every concern, question or bump I’ve encountered they have laid the concerns to rest, had an answer and a solution!!! The church is stunning as well and plenty of parking!

A historic Catholic church with beautiful, inspiring architecture. Recent projects have created an impressive parish hall that, together with the church, form a spacious interior courtyard. (It makes me think of a mission.) The parish dates back to 1865 and the current church building is more than 80 years old. Walk inside and you’ll find a high ceiling, statues and paintings, stained glass windows, side altars, columns and a communion rail. There is a perpetual adoration chapel that you can enter from the north side. The parish bookstore has tons of religious books, multimedia and sacramentals for purchase. It’s not cheaper than Amazon or other retailers but it’s nice to know where your money is going to and who it is supporting.
The priests who run the parish are amazing. This group of Norbertines (from St. Michael’s Abbey in Orange County) all celebrate the Novus Ordo Mass reverently. (Music quality differs depending on what time you attend.) Tridentine (Low) Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 6:30am. Every third Sunday, the 9:30am Mass is a Tridentine High Mass. Homilies, like Roger K. said, can be counted on to be in line with orthodoxy. Not unusually, the homily will touch upon current events and how it applies to spirituality in the «modern age.» Confessions can be heard during some of the Masses on Sunday.
From my experience, all the priests are excellent confessors who provide counsel grounded on sound theology and a deep understanding of human nature. For lack of a better phrase, they help «push you» to become a better Catholic.
An absolute Godsend. If you’ve been curious about the Extraordinary Form, attend Mass here. (Another parish that celebrates it is St. John the Baptist in Costa Mesa, which is also run by the Norbertines).

The priests are great! They always celebrate mass with great piety and I love that there is always a priest to hear confessions during many of the Sunday morning masses. If you want to confess and go to communion, arrive at leadt 15 min before mass to get in line… it gets long and usually the Priest in the confessional will leave to give Communion.
The homilies are orthodox and you actually learn new stuff both spiritual and practical, not full of fluff. It seems to be the practice in this church to receive holy communion kneeling at the communion rail on the tongue… which is one of the main reasons I like to go there. The music could use more improvement and variation I wish they would use the organ and not an electric keyboard.
They also have a great bookshop next door, yummy foods and churros on some days and 24hour perpetual adoration. The only weird thing about the beautiful adoration chapel is that there is a bathroom in the hall just 2 ft from chapel door… which makes the chapel smell a little like a toilet (at least the couple times I was there).
