Salon 926

I sat in the chair for around 4 – 5 hours to go a bit blonder. I told the stylist that I have had issues with other salons and that it always ends up brassy. She did my hair TWO times and nothing changed. I was told she could possibly fix it maybe in two more sessions. I made the trip back to my usual stylist and she fixed it instantly. There is literally bit reason behind the horrible color I dealt with for WEEKS while waiting for my hair to be ready for more bleaching. I do not recommend this salon. The manager had to come over to urge my stylist to come and quickly take off the hair dye before it ruined the integrity of my hair… Never again.

At Salon 926 I booked a wax appt followed by hair. After the wax (which was a bit awkward as I was made to spin around on he table instead of the technician walking around the table), I sat for 30 minutes in reception, 30 minutes past my hair time. I assumed he stylist was running behind. There was a receptionist there who never bothered to see if my stylist was ready for me. The stylist was, in fact, waiting for me to be brought back. When I finally asked if she could check, I was brought back. The styling was fine, but being treated liked I am invisible is not worth it. Will not be going back.

Massage by Rachel was simply put HEAVEN !! Her assessment and attention to individual needs were impeccable. She makes the experience so comfortable so you can relax and enjoy!!!

Very well run salon! Everyone is always friendly and professional even though it’s always so busy. The stylists will listen to what you are looking for and offer advice. Have been happy with my cut & color.

I’m sad to say that Salon 926 lost a customer today. I have been there once before and I was looking forward to a return trip, however; when I called in to verify my appointment today, they had no sign of the appointment and didn’t put in any effort to help. I had scheduled the appointment through their website and received a confirmation email with a time and date for the appointment. When I called in they said they saw the email but didn’t have the appointment in the book and they don’t do color after 6pm. This would have been one thing, but the woman from the front desk, Donna, I believe, was not helpful at all. I explained where I was coming regarding my appointment from and my time constraints due to working at a hospital and she simply seemed not to care. Had she been nicer or willing to actually help out rather than basically saying «tough sh*t», I wouldn’t have had a problem rescheduling. But I was just so frustrated with the situation and will not be returning to this salon.

Beautiful and professionally run salon. Customer service was wonderful. It was easy to make an appointment by phone and I felt very welcomed. Not to mention I had an amazing cut by Tori! I just moved to the area and it is always scary going to a new stylist, but I didn’t need to be. She did an excellent job!
Also, you will get free product samples if it’s your first time!

I ended up at Salon 926 when Peter moved there. Wow it’s a nice place. Very clean, everyone is always very friendly. They have a steady stream of customers in at the different times of the day I have been.
I can not speak for any other service, as I only get haircuts.
Peter has always done an amazing job which is why I followed him.
If you are hunting for a new place I would highly recommend giving this one a try. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Although the salon was busy, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, my coat was taken and hung up for me, and beverages were offered. My stylist, Tori, was immediately ready at my appointment time, and did a great job with my haircut. (Btw, I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t made to wait at a salon!) Salon 926 has a nice referral/​discount program, and the cost of my haircut and style was a very reasonable $ 40. I’ll definitely be returning.

I followed Peter here from another shop and was very impressed with Salon 926. It is a beautifully decorated, relaxing open space with many thoughtful touches. The receptionist was very friendly when I called to make the appointment, during their reminder call, and then again when I arrived. She brought me a glass of ice tea and then when I left gave me a new member welcome bag full of goodies, all with a lovely smile. Peter is a terrific stylist and I have always been so happy with the work he does. I’d follow him anywhere, but I’m glad he landed at Salon 926! I plan on trying out their mani/​pedis and massages as well!

I love this salon! Especially Nickky! I live in Connecticut but travel to DE on a fairly regular basis and always wait to make my way down there to schedule my hair appointments. The salon itself is clean, modern, friendly/​welcoming and there is plenty of parking. Nickky is the only stylist I have seen and I don’t see myself switching anytime soon — she is an awesome listener and always cuts my hair exactly like I ask her. She also did my makeup and styled my hair for my engagement pictures and they both came out awesome! The cuts are also reasonably priced and I am always offered a drink when I arrive. Side note– this salon does not allow you to tip on your credit card, so make sure to bring some cash!

This is a great salon! The other reviewers are right, the front desk and all of the staff are very welcoming and the coffee is good. You never have to wait long and their hours and parking are good. I see Nikki for my haircut and coloring and she has always done a great job. The first time I went in to get my hair dyed, Nikki listened to what I was thinking and then made some great suggestions and the cut and color turned out really well. Also their new massage therapist, Kendall is great. Before I saw Kendall, I didn’t think anyone was going to be able to get the knots out of my upper back. Now, my back has never felt better. I absolutely recommend this salon.

Great place. When I moved to area, took 2 years to find someone who cut hair as well as owner. Plus, excellent colorist. As noted — always on time too. On the plus plus side — the salon itself is very attractive, warm and everyone goes out of their way to be kind and helpful. I had a true «hair emergency» before a class reunion — and Keri and staff squeezed me in and worked for hours to correct the disaster I had done to myself the night before– when I had to leave the next day! Many employees have worked there multiple years — an indication of a well run place. Lastly — they are dog friendly which I like enormously. I do not bring my dog most of the time but like the option. Kids and other customers seem to think OK. Staff would let you know if another customer has a problem/​allergy and let you know not to bring your dog.

This was the ONLY place most of my family would go back in Wilmington for hair cuts, coloring, etc. Allergy Boy, Blondie, Small Dragon and The Wife would all go see Lexi, who always did a great job. Finding someone near our new home who fit the bill was one of the greatest challenges of moving. The salon has a great atmosphere, with free coffee and cookies, very hospitable for otherwise easily bored kids.

Great local salon! Meagan is wonderful and will do anything to get it perfect for you. Nails, waxing and massage are also fantastic and the front desk always makes you feel really welcomed. I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 5 minutes. Unlike other salons where the emphasis is on the owner and who they are. Salon 926 puts the emphasis on you and what will make you happy. Only down side is payment options. No American Express and you can’t add a tip to Visa or an ATM card. You have to remember to bring cash for a tip — not very convenient.
