Great food and generally always a good experience! I’d recommend sitting at the bar for happy hour.

What a miserable place. From the waitstaff milling around helplessly, to the dirty floors, greasy and tasteless food. The menu is uninspiring. I am not going to rant in as to how poor everything was, not worth my time.

1st time for us so we looked forward to giving this a try! Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. Our waitress was also the bartender so she was not able to concentrate on both. We decided to go with the special, pic an app, dinner and dessert for $ 28. Why not? So after we waited several minutes too long when we first got seated, our orders were taken and then we waited. There was a couple who walked in about 15 mins or longer after us and we were still waiting on our appetizer as they were getting their dinner served. The food was average, service was bad, and it seemed like chaos in the kitchen. It was finally time for dessert and guess what? They didn’t have what we ordered, they ran out! On a Sunday @5 in the afternoon? I felt bad for our server as she seemed like she was being forced to wear 3 hats. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the one app and the pork chop Marsala was very good. The chicken Marsala was rubbery and very small portions and the bruschetta was very blah(when we finally got it)

Have been coming to this location for years, have always had great service and food. My go-to’s are definitely the Mama’s Trio and the lamb chops. Have mostly always come here for family-celebratory dinners, always lots of wine and good times. Big fan of Macaroni Grill.

Found a couple of shell pieces in my lobster ravioli. It was also too spicy. The bread that was brought to the table was hard as a rock. I thought that bread was hard until I bit down on a croutons in my Caesar salad. This is the third time I have tried this place over a one year period, I will not go back!

My husband and I visited on a Saturday evening. When we arrived, there were a few parties waiting and we were told 10 – 15 min wait. No problem. Everything smelled good and the plates the waiters were delivering looked good. We were seated after about 20 minutes. The table was a small two-top in the very back. There was a party of 8 directly behind my seat, and there was only about 2′ between his chair and mine. Very uncomfortable all night, with wait-staff and customers pushing behind me and grabbing my chair all night. There was also a random chair shoved up against our table that no one removed. I pushed it away next to an empty table next to us. I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail and a water. My husband ordered flavored tea. The waitress brought back the tea, and promised us bread which was ‘in the oven’ and would get my drink from the bar. No water. Despite the tea being flavored, it was unsweetened. There were no sweeteners on our table, nor any silverware. Our waitress returned with the drink, and another promise of bread. We were ready to order so we placed our meal order, with two salads. We didn’t see the waitress again for another 10 minutes, at which time she AGAIN promised the bread and apologized that it was ‘in the oven.’ At this point she finally brought my glass of water. I might add that during this time, she was laughing and joking with the large table behind us, and checked in with them more than once while waiting for their meals. We finally received our salads after another 10 minutes(not delivered by our waitress). We had to grab silverware rolls from the empty table next to us because ours was missing them. The caesar salad was extremely dry and under-dressed. We ate anyway because we were starving. And it’s not like our waitress was anywhere nearby to ask for a new one. Just as we were finishing our salads, the bread finally arrived(again, not delivered by our waitress). After waiting another 10 – 15 minutes, our food was finally dropped by yet another waiter. I only saw our waitress with two tables, so no clue why she was so incredibly busy she could not check in with us or drop our food. My husband’s pizza was burnt and blackened on the bottom, and my tortellacci was visibly extremely oily– I could see the oil separating from the cream sauce. Also, it was super salty. After choking down a disappointing dinner that I waited 45 minutes for, we finally asked for our check. Meanwhile, our waitress made sure she was all smiles and helpful to the large table behind us. The menu states 18% gratuity added to parties of 8 or more, so she was getting a decent tip no matter how much she fawned over them. Disappointing service, terrible food and a lengthy wait time for what we got. In the past I’ve enjoyed visiting the Macaroni Grill. I will not be coming back in the future, for sure.

We have gone to this Macaroni Grill many times over the years and found the food and service to be consistently good. Not last night(2÷27÷16). We were in a rush to go to a movie and the service was slow and our food not well prepared. I ordered the Chicken Under a Brick and my food was only brought out 10 minutes after everybody else’s and then it was clear that it had been sitting for a while since it was dry and burned. My vegetarian daughter’s fetticine seemed to have bacon in it and had to be sent back. My wife’s and friend’s tortellini were excessively salty. We ordered bruscietta that took over 20 minutes to bring out. I realize that it was crowded, but we felt like the restaurant was off their game on many fronts. It will be a long time before we return :(

Arrived at 11:20 am, shortly after the restaurant opened for Sunday brunch/lunch. We were seated right away. My husband ordered my mimosa & his Bloody Mary while I used the ladies’ room. Before returning to the table, I stopped to let the gentleman who seated us that someone had forgotten to finish cleaning the restroom. All the trash cans were left on top of the toilets & on top of the sinks. The sinks had cleanser on them but obviously had not been cleaned. He thanked me & said he would take care of it. Our server, Mark was very slow. We waited for water, our cocktails and dipping bread. Once he delivered the bread, our order was placed. When, Mark finally delivered our cocktails he asked us about our order. We repeated our order to him(Caesar salad, Margherita pizza and lobster ravioli). At this time we expressed our dissatisfaction with the wait & slow service at which time Mark stated he was busy because everyone came in at one time. There may have been 4 – 5 tables with customers at different stages of their meals. We mentioned to Mark we didn’t want to argue with him, we were just voicing dissatisfaction with the slowness of his service. When our food was taking even longer to arrive at our table my husband approached a manager. The manager told my husband he would bring our meal out when it was up. When the manager delivered our food he apologized for the service. We mentioned to the manager that we had arrived at 11:20 and now at 12 o’clock noon we are finally getting our food. The manager laughed at us and said no «you’ve only been here 27 minutes.» We corrected the manager & told him we didn’t appreciate him laughing at us. We asked for his name. Christian, he told us. Later the server, Mark returned to our table saying the manager was taking care of our check. As we were leaving we picked Christian’s business card & to our surprise we learned he was the General Manager! Holy cow! The restaurant needs some major revamping!

It was my first time there. I LOVED(LOVED) the food, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Service was good. We had the loaded fries for appetizer, and I had the mushroom ravioli. Highly recommended.

Terrible service… Waitress never checked in… Took a half hour to get salads out and over an hour for the food… Don’t waste your hard earned money or valuable time here. Might very well be the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in Delaware. Was here the evening of 12÷30… Wasn’t even crazy busy just really poorly run…

It was Christmas Eve and 3 adults and 2 hungry children just got done having a wonderful time looking at a Christmas light display. We called our favorite pizza joint, but they were closed. We ended up coming here, expecting a long wait, or maybe for them to be closing soon. Much to our surprise, not only were they open, there was just about a 5 minute wait! Our waiter was Ricky and he was WONDERFUL! I am on a very strict diet(NOT gluten free) and I had asked if there was any whole wheat bread for dipping, and while there was not, he still went out of his way to make me happy. He brought me out a few chunks of Parmesan cheese! I was a happy girl. I ordered the Spicy Ricotta Meatballs(it’s listed as an appetizer) and shared portabella fries with my friend. They were OUTOFTHISWORLD! And the balsamic dipping sauce was off the charts! Everyone else was happy with their meals, but Ricky’s service made our experience more than exceptional!

The food is good but the service can be questionable. Last weekend we had a waiter who was so indifferent and acted like he really couldn’t be bothered by us or tables near us. The management might need to do some customer service training.

They’re skimpy on anything under $ 13. I got the Pollo Caprese and the side salad was literally the size of my fist if not smaller. Also the chicken was over tenderized(basically flat af). It’s my first time here and the service was ok. If you want bigger portions and a friendlier atmosphere Olive Garden is the way to go.

Everything we ordered was over salted! I had to go on blood pressure meds the next day. But seriously I can’t imagine I will over go back. I have heard good things from others but I had the worse meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

Have to give it a one star this time. I usually love the food and atmosphere but today I came in around 5 and the restaurant was not full at all. The hostess directed another employee to take our party of 3 to a table when I asked if it could please be a booth. Rudely the hostess went«ugh, take them to 41». When we get to table 41, it’s a half booth, two seats are regular chairs when the restaurant is full of booths. I asked the employee can we sit at that booth right next to our table and she calls to the hostess who completely ignores her. Unbelievable.

The host was friendly and so was the waiter. Everything went well until I found a piece of lobster shell in my lobster ravioli. It was an ok experience.

I went here the other night. I was shocked when I realized that the table cloth was just white paper. I was so happy. I was drawing all night. :) As for the food; I had a new dish that was like tortellini. It was really good. My friend had the lobster ravioli. He is allergic to spices and they put red pepper flakes in the dish. That was not a happy surprise. They didn’t have a large selection of deserts. I got the new York cheesecake. It wasn’t the best. Over all I had a nice time.

Food was ok. Price was decent. We paid $ 66.00 for a family of 3 to have dinner, an adult beverage(total of 2) and a dessert for the child. Service was also fine though we did look for our server on one or two occasions. The real problem came at the end of the meal. Giant shards of plastic in my 5 year old’s gelato. When I say giant I’m talking no less than 4 inches long. I’m so thankful that I found them first. I wish I had pictures but as soon as we showed them to our server he took them away under the guise of going to tell a manager. A manager never came. Instead we waited 10 extra minutes after paying our check just to be told again by our server that he was sorry it happened. Wasn’t his fault — but yet he is the only one who apologized. Accidents happen. No one was hurt. We are understanding people but the situation was handled incredibly poorly. The lack of concern raises questions about this establishment’s focus on safety. For this reason we will not be back.

My boyfriend and I decided to try out the MG for dinner this past friday. We’d never been to one and didn’t know what to expect. There were lots of tables available when we got there, and we were able to get a booth. The table is covered in white paper and you’re apparently encouraged to draw on it while you wait, which I suppose makes it family friendly. I don’t know; it seems a little wasteful. Maybe they should offer to put down the paper when you’re seated but have a regular cloth if you’re not into that. Or maybe I’m just no fun. The food was not that memorable, as evidenced by the fact that I can’t remember what I ordered 48 hours later. I ordered off their(pretty limited) less than 650 calorie menu, some sort of grilled chicken with spaghetti. My boyfriend got chicken parm. The food was similar to Olive Garden but with a smaller menu. Overall, everything was good but not stellar. For dessert, we shared the chocolate cake which was quite yummy. The service was friendly and attentive enough, and the prices were reasonable. We may come back, but again, it was just a solidly good experience.

On the way home from a road trip, my mom was craving pasta and suggested we stop at the Macaroni Grill. I had been there before, but it had been a pretty long time and I didn’t really remember anything about the place. It was a Friday night, but we got there pretty early(about 5:30pm). We had a 5 minute wait for a table, but then got a nice booth. I liked the décor in the restaurant and that the cooking area was open. Our waiter came over to introduce himself(he was pretty awesome) and wrote his name down in crayon on the table’s paper cover. The fine dining person inside me wants to protest the use of these paper covers, but the kid inside me loves drawing on them while I’m waiting for my food. Plus it meant that we remembered our waiter’s name, which I never do. We both ordered a glass of the house wine– my mom ordered red, and I ordered white. We agreed to do «the honor system», where our waiter opened a brand new jug, left the jugs on the table, and we marked down(in crayon, obviously) every time we poured ourselves a new glass. That was pretty exciting and the bottle of wine on the table provided me with some eye candy while eating. I think the house wine ran $ 5/glass– steal. We were really hungry so we ordered tons of food. We started with 2 of the small plates– fried white truffle macaroni and cheese balls(don’t judge, we wanted to see what they tasted like) and bruschetta(2 small plates for $ 9). For entrees, I ordered a sausage pizza($ 10) and my mom ordered the lobster ravioli($ 18). We also both got side salads($ 3 each) with it– me Caesar salad with dressing on the side, and my mom the house salad. They also brought out warm bread with olive oil which I found incredibly tasty. The bruschetta was awesome, but the macaroni cheese balls tasted exactly like what you’d expect– very cheesy macaroni and cheese with breading and some very rich creamy truffle sauce over it. We couldn’t eat it, but the idea was interesting. My pizza was pretty good– the crust was quite thin. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t bad. My mother’s lobster ravioli was very fishy and neither of us liked it much. However, our side salads were delicious. Overall: service was great, food was mediocre with some standouts, portions were big, wine was cheap, and we left very full. By the time we left, the place was packed and there was a long wait for a table. If I was in the area and craving a large amount of Italian food, I’d probably be back.
