I became a member of Reflex Squash and Fitness in the fall of 2007 and terminated my membership in the spring of 2009. When I joined Reflex the facilities were very clean and the staff was professional and friendly. The managers knew the members by name and the staff was helpful. Reflex definitely emphasizes its squash facilities more than its fitness equipment, but for most(non-muscle-head) people its fitness equipment is more than sufficient. The hours were somewhat limited(Reflex closed at 8:30PM most weeknights), but the location was convenient for me so I was able to deal with that. I often had all of the fitness equipment to myself, which somewhat justified the pricey membership rate of $ 59 per month. All in all I was happy with Reflex until mid-2008 when the owners of Reflex changed the management. From my point of view things quickly went downhill from there. Hours were reduced drastically(open 12−8PM weekdays, only a few hours on weekend days), price for a fitness membership jumped to an outrageous $ 79 per month. It became apparent that the management had little interest in non-squash-playing members. While the facilities were still fairly new and in good condition, less and less effort was being placed on maintenance and cleanliness. Ultimately the excessive price for inadequate operating hours drove me to find a more satisfactory alternative to Reflex. Perhaps squash players would be satisfied with the quality of the facilities for the price(and the squash membership *does* cost more), but I would recommend that you look elsewhere if only interested in fitness.
