First and foremost the service is spectacular! Luckily for us it was a nice rainy evening so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sound of the rain, a not so hot evening, great food good wine, and great service.

My husband and I decided to spend our anniversary dinner at the Niche. We live around the corner, and it was a Thursday evening, didnt feel like venturing too far. We had reservations at 7pm, arrived on time, and the hostess insisted in taking a party a head of us, even though they were waiting on 2 more people. We stepped forward to let her know we had reservations, and she said please step back. Not nicely, or friendly. So we a waited while the other two people showed up. Couldnt understand why she couldnt have seated my husband and I, while the other party waited. ??? We finally were seated, it was 7:10 before anyone even came by and acknowledged us, offering to get us drinks and menus. Our waitress was less than enthused to be there. It wasnt super busy given it was Thursday. We ordered an app, it was good. We orderd our meal, I ordered the fiket done medium. My husband ordered the ribs. At 8:05 we were served our entrees. My filet was completely well done, not a speck of pink throughout. I brought this to the attention of our server. The manager visited our table, apologized, and took my entrée off and paid for our last two cocktails. It certainly put a damper on our anniversary evening. And we will have to think twice before going again. Unfortunately, because the other reviews seem complimentary. Maybe we just caught them on a bad night. P. S. my husbands meal the ribs were good, the green beans and coleslaw lacked flavor.

second time we have been here. patio is cool to sit on. food is awesome. both times it was great. first time, i had a scallop special and lady had the ritz flounder. this time i had the blue plate meatloaf special. literally came on a blue plate. i like that kind of attention to presentation. it was awesome btw. home style cooking but a modern take on the meatloaf. staked on top of green beans and whipped potatoes, topped with fried onions. wasnt too filling, like oh shit i ate way too much and nowni feel heavy. it was filling in a, that was good quality food but not too much of it, kind of way. lady had the filet. one of the first steaks we have had in a long time that was cooked at the temo she asked for, and wasnt drenched in some terrible sauce. they let the steak show off and thats awesome. i have now said awesome a total of 4 times. thats all you need to take away from this review. oh and its not expensive. its what you would think a damn meal should cost. and if you do think its tio expensive, then just hang out at the crib with yer coors light and grab some mc e ds… one more thing. i just cut the filet with a fork. so yeah, get some.

Excellent. A little pricey but great food and lovely atmosphere. I really enjoy going there as a special treat !!! Bravo !!! I plan on going there in the future. Mother’s Day. Good food but slow. Waiter clueless and inattentive. Really he ruined the experience. No more holidays there.

Don’t be fooled by it’s strip-mall location. The food is really good here, for lunch or dinner.(Try the Fish & Chips! Best around!) When it’s warm, it’s nice to sit outside on the back patio. Surprisingly great sangrias.

Be sure you add the zip code, 28412, to your GPS address for this… Otherwise, you’ll end up in the middle of Snow’s Cut! It is in the Beau Rivage shopping center at Sanders Rd. Started with a 5 spice Indian chickpea soup that was balanced & not spicy hot. I was told the salmon is wild-caught, so had that special(blackened). The color & flavor of the fish is light for«wild-caught»; it was compensated for by the strong flavor of the blackening spices & artichoke hearts it was served with. Very tasty, and generous portion. The key lime pie is truly excellent, and not to be missed! Coffee is good, as well as the service, at early lunchtime.

Good little hidden gem, but be careful to walk in during busy dinner hours. Will be a long wait.

I tried Niche for the first time tonight and had a fabulous experience. I ordered the filet medium rare and the seasoning and all the sides were exceptional. The wine is half price glasses on Tuesday, which is always nice. Will definitely be returning in the future and hope to continue the positive experiences!

The food is fine, but the service is awful. At least half the visits leave you feeling put out and management is at the head of the problem.

Great Service! Very nice atmosphere! I ordered Fish and Chips and it was very good. My Wife had the Filet Mignon. I will say that it comes very salty, so you might want to request light salt. All in all, it is a great place to eat! Highly recommend!

Niche is absolutely outstanding! My wife and I went for brunch and couldn’t have been happier. Our server, Lee, was efficient, friendly and informative. My wife had a turkey club(panini thing) that was delicious. I had the Out or Inn Burger that had a radish relish. I believe this is the best burger I’ve had in years(maybe ever). We had lunch, drinks and dessert and only spent about $ 50. It doesn’t get better than that! You MUST try Niche!

It’s been so long since I’ve written a 5-star review, I’ve forgotten how to do it. Lucky for you, that means I’ll keep this short and to the point. In a touristy region of slummy-fried seafood, fried hotdogs, fried milkshakes, and fried beer, Niche has carved itself its own namesake in what is otherwise a sad culinary region. It’s as if the price to be paid for visiting the salt-kissed fresh air of this ocean-side town is to have no choice other than to clog your arteries with the usual mishmash of flavorless barf ood. Oops, I mean bar food. But now there is a choice! I enjoyed the evening special appetizer, a spinach, potato, and mushroom soup. The broth was clean, ingredients identifiable, and it was full of… what’s that thing called… ah yes, flavor. Off to a great start. What’s next? The test plate of any seaside restaurant: the fish and chips. The fish ‘n chip is the litmus test for whether your chef is just throwing frozen boxed fillets in a microwave, or if they value crafting this bar staple into something memorable. Niche’s fish n’ chip reset the grade for me, after many years of having it set by a vendor at a little pier in Seattle. THIS fish ‘n chip consisted of solid white cod that did not flake and disintegrate at the first forkful. The crust – the robust CRUST – it did not slough off the way that microwaved garbage does – it stuck to the meat. It, too, was full of delightful seasoning. Chasing it all down with the recommended house white wine(impeccable, attentive service, as well), my dining companion and I were two fat-and-happy landlubbers. I’m thrilled that my 100th review gets to be a five’r. Niche is as good as it gets in this and surrounding neighborhoods, and yet remains affordable, so it deserves its current 4.5-star standing. Give Niche a shot; despite its nondescript exterior in yet another southern strip mall, the interior is casual yet upscale, tasteful, and features a delightful patio out back that is perfect for relaxing once the sun has set on a beautiful day at the beach.

We had the pan seared flounder, Brie cheese platter, and a nice white wine for lunch. Moderately priced, outside dining, great service, nice atmosphere, great apps what more could you ask for.

I have wanted to try this place a while and finally did. It was yummy! I got the lamb stew — it was delicious. Our waitress was very nice as well. Everyone else was satisfied with their meals. Prices were pretty normal. The menu isn’t huge, but there are a good variety of options.
