THISPLACE! We were on a recent visit to Wilmington, NC and saw Newab Indian Cuisine while we were there. We decided to get takeout, and I was looking forward to trying their Butter Chicken. The manager helped my husband select from the menu, answered all his questions, and they had a great conversation. He gave my husband numerous spices to try, and even gave him a tour of the restaurant while waiting for our food to cook! He was very friendly, and the restaurant was nice and very clean! We ordered their Butter Chicken and their Lambchops with a bread platter. The portions were very generous, we got 2 meals out of it. And the naan was absolutely delicious! I thought I had eaten Butter Chicken before, but I had never had it like they make it. It was by far the best I’ve ever had, and I have been craving it again for days now! My husband’s lamb chops were very tender and perfectly seasoned. We will absolutely be back. If you’re thinking about trying this place out, definitely go! You won’t be disappointed!

First time here. First the food is great as good as I can get in NJ. Tried the tomato soup, the appetizer sampler, garlic naan and the Tikki Marsala. All of it was delicious. And the service was attentive and friendly. I certainly will be back soon.

For an appetizer, I had the veggie samosa and the meat samosa. They were both wonderful. I preferred the meat samosas. For my entrée, I had the lamb curry. It was lovely, well spiced and a huge serving. I went at opening time for dinner, I would suggest waiting later for the sun to go down so they cut on the ambient lighting as it is much prettier that way. Great service.

Awesome restaurant, and awesome food. The owner was very helpful in recommending good veg dishes. We had paneer 65 to start, which was spicy and delicious. Chana masala was fragrant and hit the spot. Between two, we ordered two starters, naan and a main and had more than enough to eat! Service was on point. Definitely will return again.

Indian is one of my favorite cuisines. Warm, inviting spices with tons of vegetarian options and I’m one happy woman. I was still mourning the loss of India Mahal when Siaa closed. Tandoori Bites is just fine, but I wanted something with more unique choices. I was thrilled when a friend suggested Nawab for her birthday dinner. Double-thrilled that Encore had a half-off deal! I got to the restaurant a while before my friends and the host had no issue seating me. I was really impressed by the appealing décor and spaciousness of the restaurant. I was immediately given some pieces of fried deliciousness with mint chutney and tamarind chutney. It’s a small miracle that there was still some left when my friends finally arrived. The menu was varied and I had an incredibly hard time making up my mind. So I ordered one thing for there and one to go(again, I had a half-off deal). Dinner was the Vegetable Tikka Masala with roti and to-go was Mushroom Mutter Masala with garlic naan. The vegetable tikka was rich and luscious with a HUGE portion. I’m not sure the vegetables were fresh(maybe frozen?) but I could overlook that on the basis of the sauce being so darn good! They gave us a ton of well-seasoned rice with the meal, as well. We were all well-fed and happy, with plenty of leftovers, at the end of the meal. A few *really* nice touches: ~When I mentioned it was my friend’s birthday, before she arrived, they offered to run to Harris Teeter to buy a cake. SUCH a nice gesture! ~They gave my friend a birthday shot on the house. Customer service was clearly key for them and it showed. I was sad that the huge space only had two tables, including ours, filled in the time we were there. I also saw one person come in for take-out. I hope last night was just an off night and they’re doing better than that because I’d love for them to thrive. I left feeling a bit guilty that I had a half-off deal, but hope the tip that I left helped a bit. (Note: I don’t really give five-star reviews, so I’m giving them a 4, but that’s NOT a knock in any way!).

Came here with my husband for our anniversary and we were very pleased. The food was delicious, especially the nan, and the service was good. We sat outside on the patio and it was romantic. Next time we’re going to try to buffet. I had a goat dish and the near just melted of the bone. Also it smells like heaven inside!

This place is new. The food is amazing. There is also a large selection of vegetarian meals, which is rare in this area. Nice interior.

So flavorful and tasty! We came right at the start of dinner time. I loved that the menu had so many options. The rosemary naan bread is delicious! I very much enjoyed it combined with the chicken curry. YUM! The atmosphere is nice, and the service is great! Our waiter was always there to refill our drinks. I will definitely be returning.

Amazing food, outstanding service, nice new interior. Great meal — ordered the lamb tikka masala, aloo gohbi, and two varieties of naan and it was excellent! We ordered dessert as well, can’t remember the name of it, but it was fried dough with a saffron honey sauce. Best meal we have had in quite a while! Will definitely be back. They deliver too!

Very impressed! My family and I have been to several of the Indian restaurants in town and we all agree that this place is head and shoulders above the rest. We went for the lunch buffet, which had a lot of variety and an awesome selection of vegetarian options. The venue is very clean and modern, decorated with warm colors and dark woods. I think that this would be the perfect place for a romantic dinner. Check it out!

My wife and I had lunch there today. Everything was outstanding. The restaurant was very clean with nice décor. We were seated immediately by an extremely friendly host. We had the lunch buffet and it was great. There was a large variety of items to choose from. There was no extra charge for the naan and all the dipping sauces. The server kept our drinks filled during the entire meal. They also had numerous deserts with the buffet. All were great. The entire cost of our meal was very reasonable. I definitely recommend Nawab to everyone. Excellent restaurant.

This place is terrible, I don’t know how it has gotten such high ratings on here. We went for dinner there, were the only people in the restaurant and they got our order wrong. The tandoori Chicken was undercooked and I could taste no flavor because my mouth was burning from all the black pepper they used. You walk in and their health and hygiene rating is only an 86, which is surprising for a new restaurant. That should have been our first clue.

We loved the lunch buffet! Each option tasted different and we enjoyed trying some new things. The service was good and we will certainly be back since we live close by. Awesome place!

We came here to eat the buffet but unfortunately they only served a la carte because of the marathon, perhaps they did not expect much business because of roads being blocked off. We ordered the following: * Chicken satay: The chicken was delicious and was very mild, the kids loved it. * Humus with naan(for the kids): Did not really taste like humus, tasted more like garlic chutney with a few chickpeas. Maybe they mixed up the portions of chickpeas vs garlic. The naan with it was delicious though. * Muttar Paneer: Was very tasty. * Garlic Naan: Their naans are great. They were thin and not doughy. * Tandoori chicken: I am very picky about tandoori chicken. I thought the chicken was just ok but the bed of vegetables it came with was tasty and marinated well. * Rice: The rice that comes with entries had peas, saffron and cumin seeds. Much better than the plain rice you normally get at other restaurants. The owner stopped by and said hello. I look forward to bringing my parents here during our next trip.

My first impressions: Great service, Distinctive flavor in each item I tried, Plenty of options to try, and a $ 9.95 buffet, nothing beats that. I will certainly be back and try other items from their menu.

I normally don’t write reviews, but had to write for this restaurant as the food is really good. Food is 5⁄5 Service is 4⁄5 Recommend. $ 11 buffet is really worth. Normally Indian buffets have stale food, but here the food was really fresh.
