McDonald’s

Giving 1 star because recently went to this mcdonalds to get a simple order of one shamrock shake and one mcflurry and since i can’t give zero. Went through the drive thru pretty quick and paid 5.08 (extra m&ms is 50 cents more) the real issue was when i went up to the window to get my order. I received my mcflurry and then the person working the window told me to park in the designated area for the drive-​thru to wait for my shamrock shake. About 20 minutes past, I know this because I looked at my receipt for the time of purchase, and I started to get a little mad. I then left my car in the parking spot and went inside to see my progress on my shamrock shake. I noticed there was no line but there were about 4 other people waiting on food. I decided to wait since they were busy getting other orders done. As I waited I noticed that behind the counter was disgusting. There was ice cream on the ground along with a few other pieces of food. As I continued to observe the staff they all looked young and obviously had no such customer service skills. I waited inside for p another 5 – 10 minutes when the employee working the drive thru points to me and tells one of his coworkers that I was still waiting on my shamrock shake. None of the employees told me that the machine was broken but one of the employees told another coworker «just refund the dude», which they finally did. I am not upset about not receiving my shake nor do I care about being refunded my money. I am just upset that I wasted part of my day waiting for disappointment and that I had to see such bad customer service.

This McDonald’s, at Midway Plaza, is only a few miles up the road from McDonald’s in Prices Corner. Yet, all the breakfast items here are more expensive. Even the sweet tea is $ 1.19 instead of $ 1. I can see no reason why this is so. In fact, it is the most expensive McDonald’s in all of New Castle County.
Pricing aside, I thought service was okay. The cashier actually miskeyed the item I ordered but it was in my favor. The food was delivered reasonably quickly and the place seems overall well-​maintained. Parking could be a bit of a problem. Once the row of parking spaces around the restaurant fills up, you’ll have to park somewhere in the strip mall area.
Unfortunately, I probably won’t return due to pricing alone. Everything else is pretty much the same at all other McDonald’s locations in the county, so if there’s another one along the way, I’d favor that one instead.

Great job here and run just like its supposed to be. I popped in while I was waiting for some automotive work to be finished across the street and they were right in the middle of switching from breakfast to lunch.
No wait at all. I ordered the meal and they had the food on the tray in less than a two minutes. Kinda caught me off guard. I’m impressed.
