Tried the watermelon and coconut Popsicles. Heaven in my mouth! So good :) &loved how much real fruit was in the actual paleta. Also the woman who were working there and the manager are all super nice! Definitely coming here from now on for paletas and ice cream!

I use to love coming here almost everyday. But since they always running out of something. I rather not go. The last 2 times i went. They didn’t have the mangoneadas. Everytime i ask the girl for something. They always tell me they don’t have that. Is like seriously prepare before stating the day.

This is by far the best place to go for mangonadas!!! It’s so delicious!!! I’m definitely going back to try the paletas next. It totally satisfies my cravings.

I LOVEPALETAS. I come here almost every time I come to visit my boyfriend, who lives in the area. They have an array of different flavors as well as different selections, but I always stick with paletas. The texture and taste of their paletas are always on point. My two favorites: Fresa con Crema and Pistache Downside is that there’s almost always a long line… but I don’t blame them. I do not like long lines and I’m usually the to suggest going elsewhere, but paletas at La Michoacana are well worth waiting for. True love waits.

One of the best kept secrets in Wilmington. They make all their paletas in house. They have great flavors and everything is priced right. The mangoneadas are to die for. Mango sorbet, fresh mango, chile, limon… Can’t beat it.

I was craving a strawberry paleta so I came here and the girl at the cashier had such a rude attitude she was eating licking her fingers it made me not want to buy anything and then I’m guessing it was the owner he looked like he was drunk & then when came out from the room they have on the back he opened the door and I saw a beer can I thought maby he picked up the can or something but when he walked and talked to me he was smelling so bad like beer I just bought a paleta and left what kind of place let’s there workers do this!!!

Just decided to try this place out and i hate that I had not been here sooner. Its a hidden gem. I had a strawberry one and it tasted delicious, just the right amount of sweetness to balance the tartness of the strawberries. can’t wait to be back and try something new

Came here to buy some paletas since I read good reviews about it. I bought 9 of them! Kiwi, mango, strawberry, limon, raspberry, etc. They’re good and reasonably priced.

Came here last time was in LA. Bar ice cream dipped in chocolate and then in nuts. Tastes and looks exactly like the iconic ice cream bars from Purdy’s in Vancouver, Canada… these are just much more reasonably priced and you have more choices for toppings.

Man this place… AMAZING. All ice cream bars are hand made in store by the kind owner! Just like ones I’ve tried in Mexico. Authentic, fresh, no yucky stuff, just deliciousness. Such a gem! Small place, easy to miss, but worth it!!! AND the prices, can’t beat them. Ice cream ranges from about $ 1.50-$ 3, CASHONLY. I live in LA and will definitely be driving to Long Beach just for this place. Yum!

Um… A-mazing!!! Family own and 100% made in store. This is definitely a little treasure I found in the midst of Long Beach. The guy who owns it was so nice to me and my fiancé, he gave us free sample of strawberry ice cream and mango ice cream bar! Check out the pictures. Bars range from $ 1.50-$ 2.50

Delicious natural fruit paletas. I love the chunks of fresh fruit in them. My 4 year old daughter is a big fan of the Jamaica paleta.

Really good paletas. I experienced a mad craving for Leche Quemada and was nowhere near my usual spot in Pico-Union, so I stopped by La Michoacana to see if I would get lucky. No Leche Quemada, but she did have Mamey!!! It wasn’t listed on their wall menu, so be sure to ask if you are looking for something in particular. The place is cute & clean. A pure hecho a mano kind of place… they are not the mass produced versions you find at liquor stores. The paletas are slipped into bags(not sealed) so I believe the freezer life would be relatively short. I also tried the Fresas con Crema… chunky, strawberry bliss. And waiting in my freezer to be devoured shortly… Mango con Chile and Nuez.

Stumbled upon La Michoacana while waiting for my cell phone to be replaced. The woman working suggested getting the mango ice cream with fresh mango and some sort of chilli powder. The ice cream and mangoes came in a cup the size of a grande iced coffee from Starbucks. It was perfect to share. The ice cream was really good and homemade and the mango was fresh! Too bad this place is like in the middle of nowhere.

This place is great but it’s rarely open! I hope they open it during the summer! Best strawberries and cream ice pops!

Not much to look at from the outside. Tagged up walls and beat up paint. But once you try the ice cream, you’ll keep on coming back. Fresh ingredients, unique flavors, and cheap prices make this place a gem. Most of their paletas(ice cream/popsicles) are between 50cents-75cents. The variety goes from vanilla to mango with limon y chile. Definitely a place you have to hit up if you’re ever around the area.

My family is originally from Michoacan, so I’ve had the real deal when it comes to icecream, and i gotta say, this is without a doubt the closest I’ve had to the icecream of my youth! my big brother told me about it, so we jumped on the cruisers and went to see it… i became an instant fan from the first bite! all natural flavors! from classic favorites like strawberries and cream to those you don’t hear about all the time like mamey(they’re all delicious). now its not soft serve or even scoopable icecream, they’re popsicles, but you can obviously tell that they’re homemade and all natural! the only thing is that its a tiny little place and it doesn’t look professional at all, but don’t let the outside fool you! its lagit icecream that will make you smile and giggle like a kid again(happened to me!) please go and bite into a little yet very important part of my beloved Michoacan. Eat well my friends! ;)
