JL Floors

JL Floors just completed resurfacing and installing new hardwoods in our home. The floors turned out great and Jay kept us well informed along the way in terms of timeline and best practices for caring for the hardwoods. This is our first experience with this company but it was overall very good and the end product was great.

JL flooring did an outstanding hardwood install at our new house. We had a tight schedule to have the work done, and it was completed with time to spare. Not only was the work done ahead of schedule, it was clearly done with great skill and attention to detail. From the floors themselves to the molding, everything looked perfect; not to mention that the place was spotless when they finished. More than anything though, I appreciated the professionalism. I’ve dealt with dozens of contractors, and Jay is a cut above. Always responsive to our numerous questions/​requests, on budget and ahead of schedule… What more could you want? Highly recommended!

Run from JLFloors. Yes Jay the owner does the work personally yes he will damage your home by spilling floor stain all over your center island and making your off white cabinets dark and he will leave it. He will stain your floor molding up to the top he will leave hand prints on your door frames and window frames. He will put new shoe molding on that is not even level and leave it incomplete although he will tell you he is going to do it complete. He will damage your walls and when you get him to return to put your doors back on he will damage the trim around the door frames. He will stain your tile and leave his stain rags in your landscaping. He will make appointments to come fix all the damage and not show up he will act like he is sick and have to leave without repairing anything. Hired him 2 weeks before thanksgiving today is Jan 5 and my house is not finished yet I have text admitting he needs to finish and repair my home. Happy holidays with all furniture in bedrooms and garage.
Horrible is putting this contractor in a positive light. Run far to anyone else
Jay returned and fixed the floor. Thank you for fixing the floor. We differ greatly on the events that occurred but what matters is it is correct now. Thank you

Jay contacted me today requesting I remove this review and threatening to sue me. The I professionalism is amazing to me.
I told him I could add his text admitting the problems if he would like and he said that’s fine.

No problem.. I beg you not to bash me on social media or anything anymore. I told you that I would get things right and I did. I’m so sorry it took so long but I was just trying to work with your schedule. I did miss the one day when I was sick and the day I thought gene didn’t want me back i do take this stuff serious! I’m honestly not use to complaints but there was definitely things that needed to be fixed. Please keep in mind I did have helpers and try my best to fix their mistakes. I do take responsibility. Anyways hope you enjoy your new home !
