Awful service for mediocre food. Had better thai on many occasions in other places. Do yourself a favor, eat elsewhere!

Who in Wilmywood doesn’t love Indochine? The food is really good and the drinks are too. But, lets be honest… it is the atmosphere that your going there for. One of the coolest outdoor eating experiences anywhere. We LOVE sitting in the huts out in the garden. Especially good when you have visitors from out of town. But plan ahead because this joint is no secret and the wait for a table can be a bear.

First time here. I wanted to try Phở but I was nervous I wouldn’t like it so I tried teriyaki chicken with noodles & veggies… It didn’t disappoint, so yummy. Ordered the pork pot stickers as well, because pot sticker I’ve ever tasted. Hubs ordered the duck curry type dish. I’m not a curry or coconut milk person but he loved it! Huge portions for dinner later!!! Next time I’ll definitely try Phở. Very busy but well worth going & waiting if u have too.

I’ve eaten here several times the past few months. Both my mother and I enjoyed the lunch specials(something with salmon) and I had really good drunken noodles during a group dinner. The bf brought me here for my birthday too and the crab angles are to die for… the coconut cake too… oh, and the mixed drinks. Beyond the food, the back patio is so interestingly and our servers have always been attentive. Best place I’ve ever eaten. Ever.

Amazing. Spectacular. Tasty. Beautiful setting. Amazing menu options. Great service. Good for the whole family. Drink specials with full bar. Must try desserts. Inside and outside seating. Thai hot can really bring the heat. I would recommend any one to visit this restaurant if you are visiting.

After a terrible experience here awhile ago, we finally got the courage to try this popular restaurant again. And it was delicious. Decently priced, good Thai food. Great portions. Our waitress was very friendly and checked in on us a lot. I probably wouldn’t go here if I had a food allergy but, I don’t, so I’ll definitely be back when we can sit outside in their great outdoor area.

Stopped in for a mid-afternoon lunch on a recent Saturday. Talk about slammed! Once we put our names in for the 45 minute wait, the hostess told us we were welcome to post up at the bar for a drink and appetizer. Which we did. For 30 seconds before the bartender gave us the option of getting our full meal at the bar, sans wait. Cha ching. As always, great service, delicious food, and leftovers for days. Ya’ll can do no wrong.

Tai /indo /sushi place. It is one of the Gems of Wilmington. You can’t visit here and not eat at this place. They win awards the way normal people breath. I love the Duck curry. Da bomb. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is amazing. They are always busy so better call ahead.

My husband and I have been coming to Indochine for the past 15 years, every time we’re in Wilmington. We love the food and the ambience here. Yesterday we called for reservations and were told they don’t take them. We decided to take our chances, going fairly early(6:30) to beat the rush. It was a Saturday, in January, and the place was packed. The hostess told us it would be an hour and a half wait. We decided to chance it, thinking people ahead of us might be put off the wait time and leave. We sat there and waited for over two hours to be seated. We felt like idiots as time rolled by and leaving would mean that we would just end up waiting somewhere else because we didn’t have reservations elsewhere. By the time we were seated, I was having full-blown hypoglycemia. I could barely raise my head to see the waitress. Our waitress was great and brought us our salads right away and hurried our food. It was good. But there is no pleasure in eating like this. Being so hungry you have to stuff your face not to pass out doesn’t make for a fun evening. And I have to think about seniors and people who have disabilities. This kind of wait would make it impossible for them to eat at this restaurant. It’s really discriminatory. All of this could be solved by their taking reservations. There’s no excuse not to. If they don’t want to buy software, they could do it old school in a ledger. It’s not hard and would eliminate this problem. We won’t be going back unless they start taking reservations.

Fun loud atmosphere with great ambiance. Oh, and then there is the food! Love stopping here when we visit Wilmington. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very attentive and provided special treats to our 3 year old son. Bohn Mi, Pad Thai and Chicken Lard lettuce wraps. All very delicious.

Holy whoa! This place has really amazing food. It’s kind of a funky place, with odd paintings on the wall, hand painted tables, and jazz be-bopping in the background, but the food is totally on point. My colleagues and I shared the ginger chicken, panang curry with chicken, and Buddha in a nest. We also had the mussels in a coconut-basil sauce. The panang curry was simply the best I’ve ever had. It had this creamy, smooth, coconutty red curry with huge chunks of sweet potatoes and chicken, lots of green beans, and other goodies floating around. Did I say«the best»? It was. The ginger chicken was also great, with lots of fresh veggies in a(what else?) gingery brown sauce. I also dug the Buddha in a nest, which was a load of veggies(broccoli, asparagus, green beans, etc) and tofu on a nest of crispy fried noodles. Again, a lovely brown sauce that melded so well with the crunchy noodles and veg. I wasn’t as excited by the coconut basil mussels — I thought the sauce was too heavy for the shellfish. However, the coconut was put to a much better use as a topping for the sticky rice and mango dessert. Oh wow. The rice, nestled on top of a ripe chopped mango, had flecks of toasted coconut and was smothered in a heavy, delicious coconut cream. Whoa. Just whoa. I wish my stomach could have expanded to get more in!

I am not writing this post for the quality of food it was exceptional. But a 30 min wait to be seated then 15 min to get drinks and order, to another 30 minutes to appetizer! A bit much! Soooo decided to give it another try first to sit when they opened firs at 5, 50 min later we still have no food! Incredible!

Without a doubt, this is our new favorite restaurant. The other half and I adore Thai food and we had been hearing good things and we noticed that this place was always packed so we ventured out on a rainy Thursday afternoon. Prettily decorated with ceiling fans of lotus leaves in the lobby we waited to be seated. Too bad it hadn’t been a nice day because outside there is a huge pavilion area with benches, bridges, statues with all kinds of beautiful landscaping. It would be nice to even just relax outside with a beverage, I imagine many people do just that in the nice weather. The lunch menu is extremely reasonably priced at 8.95 an entrée and they aren’t skimpy lunch size either. We had to take the rest of ours to go. We started out with the crab angels(Thai version of rangoon but actually had sirimi crab in them) served with a sweet sauce. I selected the Singapore Curried Noodles with chicken. I had them make it Thai hot which, trust me, was very spicy and very delicious with saueted cabbage, carrots, and onions. He selected the Chicken Ga Kho. Marinated and sauteed with lemongrass and scallion and served with a freid rice with pickled cucumbers. As great as mine was, I will be ordering that next time as I think I ate off my boyfriend’s plate more than my own. All in all, one of the best Thai places I’ve been to and we will be back.

OMG!!! I think I’ve gone to heaven! My son brought me here and I am so glad. The place is a hidden gem for Wilmington but an absolute must for anyone looking for the best Asian fusion, Thai, Vietnamese cuisine ever! We started with the Summer Spring Rolls with shrimp and plum sauce. Perfect! Fresh and tasty and healthy! My son had the Massaman Curry with scallops for his entrée. I tasted it and it was the most flavorful and delicate dish I’ve ever eaten. I was afraid my own entrée — Happy Asian Medley — would be disappointing afterward. Not to worry — it also was fragrant and delicious. The portion sizes of each dish were huge and I am looking forward to the leftovers. The staff was really wonderful and our waitress was particularly helpful in assisting us through the myriad of choices. We were truly pleased with the evening’s entertainment — a beautiful and talented belly dancer! I could write a whole review on the charming décor and ambiance, but I’d like to conclude by saying — GO! Do not miss the chance to experience Indochine!

Indochine, please open up a location in Raleigh. PLEASE. This is definitely the coolest restaurant i’ve ever been to in Wilmington… Heck, it’s one of the coolest restaurants i’ve been to in all of North Carolina! First off Indochine has an ammmmazing patio. If it’s nice outside definitely opt for one of the adorable huts or a spot by the outside tiki bar. The inside is pretty cool as well, full of vibrant colors and really interesting decorations. I could imagine spending hours here just drinking a cocktail and hanging out with friends but we were on a mission for dinner! I ordered a glass of wine while we waited for our table and enjoyed the view until the rain moved in. The food was once again ammmmmazing. I had the Pad See Ew with beef and it was a massive portion of deliciousness. I had enough to eat my fill and take home for lunch the next day! My meal was about $ 13 which was a very good price for the quality and quantity of my meal! I also enjoyed a glass of Thai Tea which was also pretty big, but could have gone without the whipped cream and cherry. I’ll keep that in mind next time! Also the salads they serve with every meal were very good! I really liked whatever spice combo they used and the fact that it was more like a cole slaw than an actual salad. Finally service was(wait for it…) ammmmmmmmazing. Our server was super friendly and had some great suggestions. She checked on us several times through the night. Se definitely deserved her tip! I can’t wait to come back to Indochine. I have a feeling it will be one of those places I go everytime i’m in town. It’s just such a cool space with great food and awesome service! Definately check it out!
