I just went on their Facebook page to look up their breakfast/lunch special and saw a post that they closed last week :( That’s really unfortunate it’s hard to find a restaurant that offers fresh organic ingredients and green smoothies like they did. They said 2 of their customers will be taking over the space to open a café in October.

I’ve been coming here whenever I’m in the area – ever since it opened! The food is truly farm to table and is assembled with love. I’ve only had breakfast here so I can’t comment on lunch offerings and it’s always been consistently delicious! The mystery veggie or meat omelette is my go-to and I leave so full and happy. I’m usually not hungry again until after 4pm! The omelette is packed with fresh veggies, goat cheese, and the sides are fresh fruit, amazing fresh jam and great tasting toast. The way I see it, when I go out to breakfast, I want it to be better than what I can make ! It delivers. The owner is super sweet and is usually the one cooking. The coffee is delicious and there are sweets to take home too. Be aware… it’s a cash-only establishment. Just plan ahead and go early or on a weekday as seating is limited.

«Eggs can only be scrambled». Weird. The food was enjoyable. Our table ordered the quiche special($ 15) and several egg sandwiches. Good food. There’s a To-Go section that carries cupcakes, drinks, fruit, eggs, cheese etc. No outside seating. About 4 – 5 tables inside.

Great food and excellent service. The food is healthy but very delicious and well crafted. I highly recommend this place. FYI: Cash only.

What a fantastic find! Passing thru on way to DC from Boston. Organic food, vegan options — I never expect to find my kind of food when traveling. Everything was delicious.

Fresh Thymes is an amazing fresh restaurant I will always look forward to going to! There healthy and fresh cuisine make me wanting more each time I leave. I couldn’t ask for a better healthier option near me. The friendly staff are always great to see! Fresh Thymes is a great place to go on any occasion!

A nice pseudo-fancy hipster spot in Wilmington. The breakfast burritos are delicious, helped greatly by the hot sauce. The coffee is fantastic, especially the bananas foster and chocolate banana nut flavors. It’s a tiny place with old furniture and kinda high prices, but that’s what pays for happy employees to sell you healthy, local, nonindustrial food. It’s better than going pretty much anywhere else for breakfast. If you’re into vegan stuff, there’s plenty available to buy there. If you can spend many tens of dollars on groceries you could almost do all your shopping there. The staff is great. You can park right outside for free. Nice woodsy street with historic buildings. Cash only.

Just got another great smoothie from this place! The blonde guy is the smoothie master. I tell him a few ingredients, that I want it healthy and it always turns out perfect. They also have a eat in area with an organic menu. I’ve had their french toast on Saturdays, which is excellent.

Good place very wide reaching menu that all sounds good. The addition of grass fed local beef and organic chicken on the lunch menu is great. We got takeout and the service was very quick — they made our sandwiches very quickly

Top notch food and people. That breakfast bagel was really worth the detour. The place is small but interesting. So is the neighborhood.

Two friends & I came here to switch up our usual breakfast routine. I got the burrito, which was delicious(in spite that they refuse to accommodate my egg white request). One person received the French toast & eggs, he didn’t care for the eggs & felt that they overdosed on cinnamon. The other person got the French toast & bacon. He enjoyed both, but felt that he did not receive enough bacon for the price. As stated above, my burrito was delicious although I don’t usually eat the yokes of eggs(I have always hated yokes, so this was a bother to me) I was told that they cannot accommodate this request. The inside is ok, the furniture is old & held together with tape. It’s a cash only place, an ATM is up the street. The coffee is very good & they allow large to go cups. Very pricey.

Stopped here after finding it as a healthy locally owned option on Unilocal!I strolled in around 1pm on a Saturday(an hour before close) and nearly all tables were taken. Our server was super friendly and the food was great. I took off one star only because it was a little pricier than expected.

The pursuit of moralistically organic, local, «healthy» food is a slippery slope. Some will criticize you on presentation, others on the quality of your preparation, and still others on the rigor of your descriptions and claims. For instance, when you describe the lox sandwich as having red onion on it, but instead serve it with yellow onion, that bothers people like me. I also find the coffee terribly bland but I prefer bold Sumatra. The prices are fine, no need to apologize there. My wife really likes this place, but to me, it’s just… eh.

We were very excited to try this neighborhood spot — and extremely dissapointed afterward. Service was VERY slow — I get that there are only a few people working — I think I saw 3 — but there were only 4 customers(myself and husband included). When the food did come out it was underwhelming. My chicken salad sandwich was on burnt toast that crumbled to the touch. Husbands quiche of the day was dry and bland. The location is great and people were friendly — just bad food. Unfortunate because it could be a gold mine. Healthy organic food does not have to be bland and flavorless. Tons of potential…

This place is completely over-rated. Customer service is fine but food is half-decent at best. I went here with my mother And we both ordered a water and an egg and cheese sandwich… when I asked for ketchup, we got some weird tasting homemade stuff i couldn’t even eat. The sandwich was served on what i can only assume the owners felt was a healthy english muffin substitute, but was just terrible. They have self-serve coffee, so you get a mug and go to the coffee station. Ok sort of different I guess… Except the coffee tastes like costco brand and when we got our bill it was ridiculously high for what we ordered. My mom was actually shocked at how expensive 2 sandwiches and coffees ended up being here, and we go to brunch a lot. I get that this place is supposed to be healthy and funky but for me it was just gross and over-rated. I’ve been to delicious vegan and vegetarian food places and this place just doesn’t fit the bill. I don’t typically like giving bad reviews but in this case it needed to be said… Sorry not sorry.

My favorite place in Wilmington. Great staff, great coffee, great food, adorable décor. I see that some folks aren’t happy with the food taking awhile to come out, but there are only a couple of people doing all the cooking. Imagine if you asked your mom to make 5 meals at once… it’s going to take a little bit! In my opinion, the food is worth the wait. I do have to say that I wish they were open on Sundays, but again, everyone needs a weekend.(If you need some extra hands on deck, let me know, Fresh Thymes!) Today I ordered egg and cheese on a sprouted wheat bagel, to go. The to-go container said«Happy New Year! Enjoy» which was so nice! The bagel came with a slice of grapefruit. Now, I would consider myself a bit of an egg-and-cheese connoisseur, and I have to tell you, this is the best one I’ve ever had. The egg was seasoned with the perfect amount of pepper, the cheese was gooey and unique from typical yellow american, and the bagel was soft and tasty. The coffee is delicious too, and if you bring your own cup, you can save $ 1.00 :) If you’re looking for a place that feels like home and tastes like sanity, this is the place to be.

The food is homemade and so delicious and creative. My ONLY2(very) small complaints are that: 1. Some of the portions are small 2. I wish they were open on Sunday.

My wife and I went in for a late breakfast on a Saturday afternoon and luckily were able to be seated right away at the«community table.» It was not hard to realize why this place was so crowded and we saw them regretfully turn some people away while we waited for our breakfast. They had great local organic coffee that is self-served and the people working at Fresh Thymes are all extremely friendly. The environment is great for a nice relaxing Saturday breakfast, not the place I would suggest if you are looking to be in and out quickly. The food is well worth the wait. I enjoyed the Iche Liebe Dich Omelet which was simply amazing. The combination of Smoked Cheddar, Stem sausage and Organic Sauerkraut were amazing but they take that flavor up a notch with some guacamole on top which ties everything together perfectly. The dish comes with two different types of toast and fresh fruit. f you are in the Wilmington area and looking for a nice breakfast or brunch for two this is the place I would recommend. They only take cash so keep that in mind. This is one of the best kept secrets in Wilmington but the food is nothing short of phenomenal.

First off cash or check only! I don’t usually carry cash so I’m glad I had some with me the day I decided to go. I must say how very pleased I am with Fresh Thymes. The food was outstanding. We all had a slice of the most incredible peaches from Bayberry Farms which was a nice touch. I got the most incredible grill cheese and wasn’t disappointed. Our server was super pleasant. The only reason for 4 stars out of 5 was the size of this place. It’s so tiny. I think there was maybe 5 tables? in the place. It would be very easy to have to wait quite a while to get seated when they are busy. It is very nice though to have a place with good food that is organic. It’s near impossible which makes me sad. I can find a mc d’s on every other corner but have to hunt like crazy for a nice organic restaurant with vegetarian options.
