Wow! What a totally pleasant surprise! I was having lunch at Lucky’s on 202 with a friend whose watch had stopped. «Where can I find a jewelry shop? My watch is dead,» she said. I remembered there was one next door, but I had never been in there. We took a chance and strolled over. We knocked on the door and Ernie let us in; he’s the«Ern» in «Erncol,» and he is freakin’ awesome. What a great guy! Super-helpful, skilled, über-personable, not pushy in the slightest, all that.(And dare I say, also pretty cute.) He took a look at the dead watch and realized all it needed was a new battery, and he replaced it in two seconds. He charged us a whopping five bucks. While we waited, we took a look around, and his jewelry runs the gamut of simple and clean to deliciously elegant. There was also a nice helping of quirky-cool pieces, which is more my speed. There were pieces to suit all budgets, and my friend said she will be back to purchase her wedding bands there, since she’s getting hitched pretty soon. We are so happy we stumbled upon this place; it’s a real find. (I was gonna say«it’s a a real gem» but that would just be a little toooooo douchey.) Please give Erncol your business; you will be happy you did.
