Great Art Festival! My husband and I are newly relocating to the Philadelphia area, have only been here a week and happened to hear about this festival. It’s only about 40 minutes outside of Philly. I love festivals, particularly art and craft festivals that feature a range of artists with quality products. I consider this a pretty large fest. This had a range of art work and a few crafts(pottery, wood work, jewelry, metal work, paintings, a few clothing). It also had some diversity of artists(perhaps a little more needed in this area), and of participants. Nice live music playing in a small area at a comfortable level to create a nice pairing to the art and not to overpower. There was a food area with a nice sampling of diverse local restaurants, about 8(smaller number which to me kept it focused on an art festival with food to complement). We sampled almost all, and they were great! We would have liked a few more desert options. There was a second smaller food area further down with a few more simple selections. The area was pretty well laid out with booths both sides in several rows, spread out enough so as not to feel cramped, but not stretched so long as to feel overwhelming. Most artists, restuarant owners, volunteers were very down to earth and friendly… there were a few sour pusses, unfortunate in a medium size venue, but small in number. Cost, only $ 5 for 2 days! Look, ponder/purchase or return the next day more time is needed. It also allowed $ 1 admission to the Zoo onsite at the park, which we visited and enjoyed(small, but worth seeing as an adjunct to the fest). One odd thing, arrangements for Parking was officially a shuttle: it’s in a park, I’m wondering if there is a way to have parking on site. People did just find parking on the streets adjacent to the park. We’re not familiar with the area, so not as clear on parking options. Overall a really nice experience and we would definitely recommend it to others. We went Sat and returned Sunday as well.

So happy that the festival has come back to the Brandywine Park! This festival is always held the weekend following Labor Day. There is something for every interest at this arts festival from fine artists and craftsmen to an abundance of jewelry artist(too many in my opinion). There typically is an admission fee — $ 5.
