Never been to big lots? GO! This is my favorite store for discounted and discontinued products. Occasionally I will discover nostalgic food from my childhood like dunkaroo’s. I go here frequently to window shop but never leave empty handed. There are actually two locations in Wilmington but I prefer to shop at the one on Oleander because of the excellent customer service. The other night I heard a rumor that my favorite chips, Zapps Vodoo flavor, were on the shelves at Big lots. A company in Louisiana makes these chips and I usually have to order them in back online. I called to confirm and was pleasantly surprised at fast and friendly service. The employee told me they were available and listed off the specific flavors they had in stock before asking if I would need bags reserved at the front. Clearly the level or customer service goes above and beyond. While I was«window shopping» I decided to price light blocking curtains because we desperately need them for our new apartment. I was excited to find that they are sold in two panel packs unlike most stores, which only sell curtains as single panel. The curtains were also half the price of everywhere else I have looked thus far. In total I spent $ 30! Read the other reviews. The selection here is amazing.

I’m a deal hunter. and I’ve been to plenty of Big Lots. This one is actually pretty nice! They are huge and have a vast selection of products ranging from household goods to electronics… The service is there if you need it, but it’s a department store, so don’t expect someone to follow you around and ask you if you’ve found the right dish soap. That being said, I’d shopped here a few times because I know I’ll save a few $$ buying my cleaning products and staples for the Apartment here… The furniature section is also quite Nice! Worth a look if you’re planning on adding an end table or new bed.
